Top NHL Parlay Odds & Picks for Wednesday June 1 (2022)

We have two different teams who took had completely different series during the semi-finals. The Lightning did away with their in-state rivals in a quick four-game sweep, while the Rangers had to fight once again and play in back-to-back seven-game series. Unlike the Western Conference Finals, this series looks to be low-scoring as both goalies are coming in as the two of the best in the playoffs, and it could come down to that matchup of who’s better in the net.

Tampa Bay Lightning (-130) vs. New York Rangers (+110) O/U 5.5

(Puck Drop 8:07 p.m. ET)

The biggest storyline of this series will be two of the best goalies in the world on both sides of the ice for a chance to touch the Prince of Wales trophy and punch a ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals.

It’s been a tale of two different version of Igor Shesterkin during the playoffs. He struggled throughout the series against the Penguins and was even benched at one point, but he made a switch in the past series against Carolina, and now he heads into the conference finals with the best GSAx (15.57).

His goaltending counterpart had a similar story during the playoffs. Andrei Vasilevskiy struggled during the Toronto series, but after an incredible Game 7, he was a brick wall against the Panthers and one of the best offenses in the league as he allowed one goal or fewer in all four games and had a .981 save percentage. He’s coming into this series with the best save percentage (.932) and GAA (2.23) amongst the remaining teams.

For Tampa Bay, their big concern is the status of forward Brayden Point. Point suffered a lower-body injury in Game 7 against Toronto, which forced him to miss the entire series against Florida. He was not at practice on Tuesday, which puts his status for Game 1 in serious jeopardy, but there are also rumors that he may miss the entire series.

The Lightning has tried different combinations on the first line by moving up Nicholas Paul and Steven Stamkos and moving Anthony Cirelli and Alex Killorn to the second line. Although they’ve been winning, the offensive production has taken a slide.

We should be ready to see a physical and low-scoring series. Both blue lines are playing well, and the goalies are just out of their minds.

It will be nine days since the last time the Bolts took the ice. If you’re thinking rest vs. rust, it’s right to think the rest will do them good for a smart playoff team that’s been here before. The Rangers are coming off a 48 hours turnaround playing a road game in Raleigh and now have to play the two-time champs? That’s going to prove to be tough.

Leg 1: Lightning ML

Total Goals O/U 5.5

This narrative has been driven home so many times it’s due for a tire rotation, but these teams have really good goalies.

The Rangers’ offense has looked good in the first two rounds but faced Pittsburgh’s and Carolina’s backup goalies. Going from backups to Andrei Vasilevskiy is like going from the bunny slopes to the black diamond.

Igor Shesterkin is also playing well, and we’re seeing the Lighting’s offense playing not as well without Point in the lineup.

Leg 2: Under 5.5

Total parlay odds on DraftKings: +230
