Top NHL Playoffs Prop Bet Odds & Picks for Sunday, June 5 (2022)
Game 3 is set to get underway in the Eastern Conference Final as the Tampa Bay Lightning host the New York Rangers. Despite only one game today, there are still a couple of great angles to attack in the prop betting market.
Below, I give out my two best NHL player prop bets for Sunday.
As a reminder, I am playing all player props for a half-unit each during the playoffs, or 0.5% of your betting bankroll. Follow me on Twitter to get all of my plays on days without full write-ups.

Bet $10, Win $200 if Either Team Score a Goal >>
Jacob Trouba Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (+130)
After taking both home games, the New York Rangers travel to Tampa Bay with a 2-0 series lead. With their backs against the wall, I expect a much more spirited performance from Tampa Bay in front of their fans as they came out flat in each of the two games on the road.
If that is the case, then Tampa Bay should spend more time in the offensive zone, which means that New York will generate fewer shots on goal. Defensemen Jacob Trouba went under this total in each of those two home games, and I do not think he will generate more offense on the road.
Additionally, Trouba has gone under this total in each of the three games he played against the Lightning in the regular season. In fact, the Lightning allowed the seventh-fewest shots on goal in the league this season.
Igor Shesterkin Over 30.5 Saves (-120)
Although I lost this same prop in Game 2, I am playing it once again today. As I alluded to above, we should expect to see Tampa Bay generate more shots and spend more time in the offensive zone.
Obviously, if Tampa Bay spends more time in the offensive zone, then they will get more shots which means Shesterkin will get more save opportunities. Shesterkin has gone over this total in four of his last six games (67%).
The Vezina trophy favorite, Shesterkin, has been as good as advertised in these playoffs. Thus far, Shesterkin boasts a .929 save percentage.
Best of luck!
