Top NHL Playoffs Prop Bet Odds & Picks for Thursday, June 2 (2022)

Game 2 is set to get underway in the Western Conference Final as the Colorado Avalanche hosts the Edmonton Oilers. Despite only one game tonight, there are still a couple of great angles to attack in the prop betting market.

Below, I give out my two best NHL player prop bets for Thursday.

As a reminder, I am playing all player props for a half-unit each during the playoffs, or 0.5% of your betting bankroll. Follow me on Twitter to get all of my plays on days without full write-ups.

Zach Hyman Anytime Goalscorer (+145)

Following their 8-6 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday, the Edmonton Oilers will look to bounce back in Game 2. After successfully hitting this prop in that game, I am going back to the well once again.

Zach Hyman has now scored in six straight playoff games as he continues to thrive in this offense. Coach Jay Woodcroft continues to blend his top-six forwards as Hyman spends about half the game skating alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Obviously, playing alongside two of the best players in the world means that Hyman will at least get a few great looks on the net in every game. In Game 1, Hyman led all Oilers skaters in five-on-five expected goals for (xGF).

That fact continues the trend of Hyman leading all remaining skaters in the playoffs in xGF per 60 minutes.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins Over 0.5 Assists (+110)

I am a big believer in the saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” This is another prop I hit in Game 1, and I am taking it once again in Game 2.

I mentioned in the section above that Woodcroft has blended his top forward lines over the last few games. When Hyman is not skating with McDavid and Draisaitl, he is on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Kailer Yamamoto.

When Hyman goes up to the first line, Evander Kane comes down to skate alongside Nugent-Hopkins. RNH skates alongside many talented forwards, which is why I think we are getting great value in this prop at plus money.

RNH has now recorded an assist in two straight playoff games and each of his last two games when facing the Colorado Avalanche.

Best of luck!
