Top NHL Playoffs Prop Bet Odds & Picks for Tuesday, May 24 (2022)

Game 4 is set to get underway in the Second Round of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs for two different matchups on Tuesday with some great angles to attack in the prop betting market. Below, I give my three best NHL player prop bets for Tuesday.

As a reminder, I am playing all player props for a half-unit each during the playoffs, or 0.5% of your betting bankroll. Follow me on Twitter to get all of my plays on days without full write-ups.

Sebastian Aho Under 0.5 Points (+110)

The Carolina Hurricanes will look to take a 3-1 series lead in New York following their 3-1 loss to the Rangers on Sunday. A troubling trend for Carolina has developed on the road in these playoffs as they are 0-4 when playing away from PNC Arena.

Over those four games, Aho has failed to generate a single point as the Hurricanes are only averaging 1.75 goals scored per game. This is a trend that I feel will continue in Game 4 as the Rangers desperately need to win this game on home ice.

At home during the playoffs, the Rangers are 4-1 and have held opponents to just 2.6 goals scored per game. New York’s starting goaltender Igor Shesterkin has been outstanding at Madison Square Garden during that stretch as he boasts a 0.946 save percentage.

Johnny Gaudreau Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+105)

The Calgary Flames look to even up the series following their 4-1 loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday. We successfully hit this prop in that game, and I am going back to the well once again.

Johnny Gaudreau has gone over this total in five straight and seven of his last eight games. I think we are still getting plus money on this prop solely because four is a high total for a shot prop; however, Gaudreau has proven that It is too low for him.

As part of the star-studded first line, Gaudreau should have plenty of chances to fire shots on the net as he plays alongside Matthew Tkachuk and Elias Lindholm. Coach Darryl Sutter will most likely rely on this line heavily in Game 4 as they desperately need to avoid going down 3-1 in the series.

Best of luck!
