Matt Duchene Anytime Scorer (+140)
We have an exciting matchup in Nashville as the Central Division’s fourth-place Predators host the Atlantic Division’s first-place Florida Panthers. This game should be a high-scoring affair as oddsmakers have bounced the total back-and-forth between 6.5 and seven.
With a high-scoring game expected, we should expect Nashville winger Matt Duchene to get plenty of scoring chances. This season, Duchene is Nashville’s second-leading scorer with 37 tucks, including 14 goals over his last 17 games and three over his previous four.
As one of the triggermen on Nashville’s first power-play unit, this is a good matchup for Duchene to get opportunities as the Panthers rank 24th in the league in penalty minutes per game. Florida is on the second half of a back-to-back, which means backup goaltender Spencer Knight is expected to get the start.
Knight has given up three or more goals in three of his last four starts, posting a mere 0.886 save percentage. This game should be a track race, which gives us a good chance of Duchene scoring at least once.
Cole Caufield Anytime Scorer (+235)
Another game is slated to be a high-scoring affair as the Atlantic Division’s eighth-place Montreal Canadiens travel to Toronto to take on the second-place Maple Leafs. This total has also bounced between 6.5 and seven, so we should expect another game with plenty of scoring.
In a game that is supposed to see many goals scored, we are getting an incredible value with Cole Caufield at this price. Caufield has scored in three straight games and has nine goals over his last 13.
This is a good matchup for Caufield to keep going as Toronto bleeds goals every night. Jack Campbell is the projected starting goaltender and has not been in good form recently.
In eight of his last nine appearances between the pipes, Campbell has allowed three or more goals, posting a troubling 0.863 save percentage over that span.
Connor McDavid Anytime Scorer (+130)
This number is far too short to the point where it feels like stealing as the Pacific Division’s second-place Edmonton Oilers host the Central Division’s first-place Colorado Avalanche. McDavid has scored in six straight games and has notched 13 goals over his last 15.
The hockey world seemed to put McDavid on the backburner this season, but in March, he has reminded everyone that he is still a top-two player (he and Matthews are a coin flip for me). Like the other two games mentioned above, oddsmakers have this matchup slated to be high-scoring as the total currently sits at 6.5.
This is a good game for McDavid to keep It going as everyone in the hockey world will be watching this game tonight, and he seems to always turn It on in big matchups. I would not be surprised if McDavid scores two or even three goals in this game, so plus money on one goal is too good to pass up.
Best of luck!
