Kirill Kaprizov Anytime Scorer (+110)
The Central Division’s third-place Minnesota Wild host the Pacific Division’s seventh-place San Jose Sharks in a matchup that many do not expect to be close. As long as we keep getting plus money on Kaprizov, I am going to continue to bet it as he continues his tear during the second half of the season.
Kaprizov now has 11 goals over his last 13 games and has a good opportunity to keep It rolling against a struggling San Jose team. In his last game against the Sharks, Kaprizov registered one goal on three shots and we could see him strike in this matchup once again.
James Reimer is the projected starting goaltender for the Sharks and has not been in great form recently as he has allowed three or more goals in three of his last five starts. Over those five starts, Reimer possesses a mere 0.891 save percentage.
The defense in front of Reimer will not help him out much as the Sharks currently rank just 24th in the league in five-on-five expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA).
Troy Terry Anytime Scorer (+130)
The Pacific Division’s sixth-place Anaheim Ducks host the Metropolitan Division’s sixth-place Columbus Blue Jackets. Terry has gotten hot recently as he has scored in three straight games, averaging 4.67 shots on goal over that span.
Those three games were not easy ones either as Terry scored against Carolina, Florida, and Tampa Bay, three teams obviously much more difficult to score on than Columbus. This season, Columbus ranks just 31st in the league in five-on-five expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA).
Jean-Francois Berube is the projected starting goaltender for the Blue Jackets and has allowed three or more goals in all four of his appearance between the pipes this season. In what is likely the last possible opportunity to win on home ice this season, I expect the Ducks to come out firing in this contest.
Tage Thompson Anytime Scorer (+130)
I hit on this prop bet in yesterday’s prop bets article, and I am going back to the well again. The Atlantic Division’s sixth-place Buffalo Sabres hit the road to face the Metropolitan Division’s eighth-place Philadelphia Flyers for the second straight game.
Through two games against Philadelphia this season, Thompson now has three goals and will look to keep It going against a Philadelphia team that can not stop bleeding goals to their opposition. This season, Philadelphia ranks just 29th in the league in five-on-five expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA).
Thompson enters this game in great form as he has scored six goals over his last nine games, and should be able to keep It going against the lowly Flyers. These are two teams trending in different directions as the Sabres have won two of their last three games while the Flyers have lost four straight.
Best of luck!
