Dallas Wings vs. Connecticut Sun, 8:00 PM EST

Finishing the regular season on a 7-3 run, the sixth seed Wings will take on the third seed Sun in what should be one of the more intriguing first-round matchups this postseason. Led by Marina Mabrey, who averaged 27 points per game this season, the Wings have one of the most potent offenses in the league.

As for the Sun, a 13-5 record at home this season was amongst the best in the league. This is an advantage they’ll surely want to protect out of the gates on Thursday. The Wings have quietly been strong on the road, however, and I think they have enough firepower to keep this one close.

Bet: Dallas Wings +9.5 (+100 at DraftKings)

Washington Mystics vs. Seattle Storm, 10:00 PM EST

The Seattle Storm will look to shake off an ugly end to the regular season on Thursday, as the No. 4 seed lost 100-109 to the Aces on Sunday afternoon. The four-time WNBA champions will have to bounce back quickly as they welcome to town the Washington Mystics, riding a two-game wins streak heading into this postseason.

Those two games are a bit misleading, as both came against the Indiana Fever, a team with just five wins on the season and by far the worst in the WNBA. In this one, I like the Storm to get the job done at home, taking the series back to Washington for an elimination game this weekend.

Bet: Seattle Storm -3.5 (-110 at DraftKings)
