MLB Best Bets

Baltimore Orioles vs. Washington Nationals

The pitching matchup in tonight’s game isn’t exactly appealing.

Dean Kremer of the Orioles will take on Josiah Gray of Washington. Gray’s the more highly regarded pitcher. But he’s currently 0-3 with a 4.32 ERA. Gray also holds an xFIP of 5.04 to begin the year with just 18.1% of strikeouts. Righties have hit a .391 wOBA and ISO of .268 in 46 plate appearances.

Austin Hays and Jorge Mateo have destroyed righties to begin the year. They’re also righties themselves and should have a good day at the plate against Gray. Adley Rutschman will also bat from the left side but is hitting a .268 ISO and wOBA of .459 with 21.2% of walks against righties this season.

Meanwhile, Kremer has a 9.49 ERA and eight strikeouts this season. His xFIP is sitting at 6.73, and he’s been destroyed by lefties and righties to begin the year. But Washington’s lineup should help Kremer get back on track.

The Nationals’ projected lineup has hit a .093 ISO, a wOBA of .274, and over 50% of ground balls with just 17.3% of line drives against righties.

I’ve got Baltimore earning its 10th win of the season.

Bet: Orioles ML (-146)

NBA Playoffs Best Bets

Atlanta Hawks at Boston Celtics

Jaylen Brown can score baskets. He averaged 26.6 during the regular season and scored 29 points in the first playoff game against the Hawks. Jayson Tatum will be the primary focus of the defense. That will open up Brown for quality shooting opportunities.

Jayson Tatum is the fourth highest-volume three-point shooter in the NBA this season. He averages 9.24 attempts per game. Tatum might be the best shooter and his shooting volume means Tatum has betting value every week to shoot three-pointers.

The Boston Celtics are the second-best defensive team this season. That did not stop Trae Young from scoring during the regular season. Trae Young averaged 31 points per game against the Celtics during the regular season. Now that both teams have settled in, Young will return to his scoring.

NHL Playoffs Best Bets

Nathan MacKinnon UNDER 1.5 Points (-125)

The Avalanche played well at the end of the season, winning 16 of their final 19 games on their way to winning the Central. They have dealt with injuries for most of the season, and players like Cale Makar, Artturi Lehkonen, and Valeri Nichushkin missed, but it looks like everyone will be available.

Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen kept this team going in offense, and both finished with 100+ points and 40+ goals.

Although, both struggled against Seattle this season and combined for just one point in three games. Having their entire ensemble will take the pressure off, so McKinnion and Rantanen do not need to try and score multiple points.
