2022 U.S Open Bets: Best Round 3 Futures Odds & Picks

The third major of the year, the U.S. Open, heads into the weekend with Round 3 on Saturday as Collin Morikawa holds a two-stroke lead at 4-under par. You have to feel confident about Morikawa heading into the last two rounds. Here are some future bets to consider.

Collin Morikawa Outright (+450)

It's hard not to put your money on Morikawa with how he played on Friday. His 66 was the best of the day, and he had a tournament-best 9.76 strokes gained. What is more impressive is he admitted afterward that he feels like he hasn't had his best stuff through the first 36 holes. He's shot under 70 two other times in majors (2021 Open Championship and the 2020 PGA Championship), and he came away with the win. He has a tour-leading 67.44 average in the final round, meaning he knows how to close.

Sam Burns Outright (+2100)

If you want something with a little more spice, you have to love Burns' value for a player that's trending up. He gained three strokes on Friday and heads into Saturday three strokes off the lead. He found his groove in the second round as he was better off the tee than in Round 1 and over two strokes on his approach to the green. Round 3 could be the time he charges up the leaderboard as he averages 68.55 in that round, third on the tour.

Xander Schauffele Top 5 (+410)

At this value, it's almost impossible not to take it with how well Schauffele plays deeper in tournaments. Round 2 is usually his worst day as he averages 71, but with a 69 and four strokes off the lead, you have to feel confident. His 68.40 average in Round 3 is second-best on the tour and 67.90 in the final round is third. He's not too far behind right now. Seeing as he is ninth in strokes gained on the tour and tenth in this tournament, he'll be in contention on Sunday.
