UFC Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) Odds, Preview & Betting Guide: Season 6, Week 3 (2022)
Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) returns for its third week this season, coming in off of a week in which all five fights the winners came away with contracts. While that kind of success will be hard to repeat, there are a couple of fights on this card that are sure to end in fireworks.
Let’s take a closer look at the spots where I see some value as the opening bell approaches at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV.

Sandra Lavado vs. Karolina Wojcik
The women will get their first crack at this season of DWCS, as Sandra Lavado takes on Karolina Wojcik in the strawweight division. For Lavado, the 28-year-old comes into tonight on a three-fight win streak, with her only losses coming against the same fighter in Karla Lozano. She’ll also come into this fight holding a significant size advantage over her opponent, standing 5″ taller at 5’7″ and possessing a reach advantage of 4″.
As for that opponent, Wojcik also comes into this fight on a three-fight win streak, with only one loss in her career; against current UFC contract holder Cheyanne Vlismas. Now training with Vlismas, Wojcik comes into this fight out of the better camp and more verifiable wins, having fought her last two in the formidable promotion KSW.
Look for Wojcik to get it done here, earning herself a UFC contract in the process.
Pick: Karolina Wojcik (-215 via DraftKings)
Clayton Carpenter vs. Edgar Chairez
The MMA Lab has another killer on its hands in Clayton Carpenter, who at 5-0 will make his DWCS debut with the chance for a UFC contract on the line. With four of those wins coming inside the distance, his last two in the very first minute, Carpenter now has three fights in the much-respected LFA.
On the otherside, Egar Chairez comes into this fight having won two straight, though fighting in lesser-known promotions in Mexico. It’s also worth noting that Chairez is the long-time friend/training partner of current UFC flyweight interim champion and contender Brandon Moreno, who just put the division on notice once again at UFC 277.
While Chairez might have the reach advantage here, I like for the battle-tested Carpenter to find his rhythm early and finish this one inside of the distance.
Pick: Clayton Carpenter (-285 via DraftKings)
