UFC Kansas City Holloway vs Allen: Best Parlay Picks

Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook

Leg 1: Clay Guida vs. Rafa Garcia Goes to Decision (-175)

Clay Guida is 38-22 and has been fighting since 2003, with his first UFC bout in 2006. He is taking on Rafa Garcia, who is 28, 13 years younger than Guida. Both men have a wrestling base and Garcia likely has better striking. Guida is unorthodox in stand-up and uses his wrestling to open shots. Guida lands 34% of his strikes and defends 62% with a ratio of 2.58 to 2.80 significant strikes landed and absorbed. Garcia lands 3.27 strikes per minute and absorbs 4.21 strikes per minute. Guida averages 3.27 takedowns landed per 15 minutes and Garcia averages 4.24. The average fight time for Guida is above 12 minutes and Garcia’s average fight time sits above 14 minutes. Both men are durable and will likely stalemate in wrestling. This fight will be a grueling affair that goes to the scorecards.

Leg 2: Chris Gutierrez Moneyline (-200)

Pedro Munhoz will put his number nine ranking on the line against Chris Gutierrez in the bantamweight division. Pedro Munhoz is 36 and has lost four of his last six fights. His most recent fight against Sean O’Malley was ruled a no-contest due to an accidental eye poke, and his most recent win was against Jimmie Rivera. Gutierrez is 31 years old and on a four-fight winning streak. His most recent victory was a highlight knee knockout over Frankie Edgar.

Both men have powerful kicks and are talented strikers. Gutierrez will likely be faster than Munhoz as he enters the twilight of his career. Munhoz is still a tough matchup, but Gutierrez has the skill to out-strike him. Munhoz lands 5.40 significant strikes per minute and absorbs 5.96 strikes per minute. Gutierrez lands 4.70 strikes per minute and only absorbs 2.58 strikes per minute. Gutierrez also has a two-inch reach advantage and should be able to land on Munhoz more than he gets hit.

Leg 3: Max Holloway Moneyline (-175)

Max Holloway is putting his number two ranking on the line against Arnold Allen, the fourth-ranked fighter in the division. Allen enters the fight following a victory over Calvin Kattar, who injured his knee. Before that, he knocked out Dan Hooker in the first round. Holloway’s last bout was against the champ, Alexander Volkanovski, who beat him for the third time since 2019. Holloway defeated Yair Rodriguez by unanimous decision before that and landed 230 significant strikes and three takedowns.

Holloway lands 7.24 significant strikes per minute and absorbs 4.89 strikes, while Allen lands 3.40 strikes and absorbs 2.25 strikes per minute. He is much more active than Allen and keeps an unbelievable pace. Volkanovski focused on kicking Holloway’s legs to make him slower and Holloway still managed to land 127 significant strikes against the champ. Allen will have to make this a brawl to have a chance because he will lose if Holloway is able to stand at range and pick him apart. Holloway is also tough to get to the mat, having defended 84% of takedowns. Allen is a tough matchup for anyone, but Holloway is world-class.
