UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Chikadze Betting Guide (2021)
Itâs been nearly a month since weâve broken down a UFC card, and despite numerous cancellations and rescheduled heading into this one, boy does it feel good. With solid fights throughout the card remaining, the main event is great to start what should be an electric 2022 for the promotion.
Letâs take a closer look at where the value remains.
Calvin Kattar | +198 | +190 | +200 | +190 |
Giga Chikadze | -250 | -235 | -250 | -240 |

Calvin Kattar joined the UFC in 2017 and has since battled with some of the best in the featherweight division. With a 6-3 record since joining the promotion, Kattar is best known for having one of the toughest chins in the sport and yet to have been knocked out or even knocked down.
The last time we saw him in the octagon, however, he took a beating from Max Holloway almost a year ago to the day, one so bad that he has not fought since. Even still, Kattar has maintained his top five rankings (#5) and needs a win here to get another shot at a run at the belt.
Coming into this one with a significant striking accuracy in-line with his opponent, Kattar holds a big advantage in significant strikes landed per minute at 5.07 (vs. 3.76)
Betting Profile: Giga Chikadze (14-2-0)

Since losing in Dana Whiteâs Contender Series back in 2018, Giga Chikadze has been on a tear, winning nine fights since including seven straight since joining the UFC. He comes into this one with three consecutive TKO victories, all earning him Performance of the Night and a win in this one almost certainly to propel him into the top 5 in the division (currently #8).
While Chikadze lacks in striking, he does hold an edge in defense. Coming into this fight, he has a defensive clip of 61% (vs. 50%).
Bottom Line?
Itâs no secret this fight is going more than likely stay off the ground be a striking fanâs dream. With Kattarâs background in boxing and Chikadzeâs in kickboxing, this oneâs either going the distance or ending KO/TKO.
For Chikadze, despite having just one fight that could have (his last, main event), heâs never gone more than three rounds. On the other side, while Iâd lean Kattarâs at this inflated number, I hesitate with the extended period outside of the octagon.
Instead, Iâm banking on one of these elite strikers to connect before this fight reaches its final round.
