UFC Fight Night: Taira vs. Park Picks & Predictions (2025)
Tatsuro Taira was supposed to fight Amir Albazi in the main event of UFC Vegas 108, but Albazi had to withdraw due to not being medically cleared. The UFC and Nevada Athletic Commission did not clear him, and the commission made the call for his safety. Hyun Sung Park is stepping in to fight Taira, on about a week's notice, in the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Below are our UFC Fight Night picks for this card.

UFC Fight Night Picks & Predictions: Taira vs Park (2025)
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Piera Rodriguez (-225) vs. Ketlen Souza (+185)
The first fight of the night is a women's strawweight matchup between up-and-coming fighters. Piera Rodriguez is 3-2 in the UFC, while Ketlen Souza is 2-2. Both women have fought some stiff competition in their short time in the UFC. Souza has some quick hands with solid boxing. She lands 4.92 and absorbs 4.46 significant strikes per minute.
Rodriguez is a wrestler but does not threaten submissions on the mat. She averages 4.06 takedowns landed per 15 minutes, while Souza has a 64% defense rate. Souza must defend takedowns in this fight, and I think she will. She should also return to her feet if taken down. I think it is a close fight, but Souza has a solid chance of winning on the scorecards and provides good value.
Bet: Ketlen Souza Moneyline (+185)
Karol Rosa (-185) vs. Nora Cornolle (+154)
Nora Cornolle is taking on a veteran in Karol Rosa in a women's bantamweight matchup. Rosa is 7-4 in the UFC since 2019, starting her career with four consecutive victories. She has alternated wins and losses in her last seven fights, the most recent being a unanimous decision loss to Ailin Perez in January.
Cornolle is 3-1 in the UFC since 2023 and is coming off a submission victory over Hailey Cowan in April. Cornolle is powerful as a striker, but her grappling is questionable at times. She defends 50% of takedowns, but Rosa is not known for her wrestling. She is an aggressive striker, while Rosa has not shown much aggressiveness in recent fights. Rosa tends to get lulled into slow-paced fights, and Cornolle will make it dirty. Cornolle offers good value, but it is worth mentioning that she missed weight by two pounds in her last fight.
Bet: Nora Cornolle Moneyline (+154)
Tatsuro Taira (-355) vs. Hyun Sung Park (+280)
Hyun Sung Park is an intriguing matchup for Tatsuro Taira. Park is undefeated at 10-0 and is off to a hot start in the UFC. He won the first season of the Road to UFC and has finished his next two opponents. Taira is coming off a split-decision loss to Brandon Royval in a hard-fought five-round fight.
Taira has fought more formidable opponents in his career, while Park has not fought great competition. It is a massive step up in competition for Park on short notice. Taira has quick hands, but not a lot of power. Park has more power, but gets hit more. He absorbs 3.29 significant strikes per minute and lands with 46% accuracy. He swings and misses a lot, which typically leaves him in vulnerable positions. Taira has not fought since October and has worked with former professional boxer Jason Parillo, who is known for his renowned coaching.
Taira is multi-dimensional and should have improved a lot in terms of striking. Park is a formidable opponent, but has never been in a five-round fight. It should be a new experience for him, but flyweights typically have tremendous cardio, and he has not shown any reason to doubt that. Taira landed six takedowns in five rounds against Royval in a close fight. I think Park stays in it and does not get finished, but Taira should win a decision against Park, who is coming in on short notice.
Bet: Tatsuro Taira to Win by Decision (+200)
