UFL Week 10 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (2024)
Nine weeks of the 2024 UFL season are in the books. While the regular season is nearly over, there is plenty on the line in Week 10. However, let's recap last week's action before diving into the final matchups of the 2024 UFL regular season.
The Michigan Panthers defeated the Houston Roughnecks 26-22 in the first matchup last Sunday. Michigan got the victory despite having twice as many turnovers as Houston. Danny Etling and Bryce Perkins combined for 231 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. Meanwhile, the Panthers' rushing attack was outstanding. They averaged over six yards per rushing attempt, totaling 121 yards and three touchdowns. Perkins led the way with 76 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Unfortunately, the final matchup in Week 9 was a double-digit blowout. The D.C. Defenders defeated the Memphis Showboats 36-21. Jordan Ta'amu and Josh Love each had two interceptions in the game. However, Ta'amu also had 237 passing yards and two touchdowns, while Love had 105 yards and one touchdown. Meanwhile, both quarterbacks played a role on the ground, scoring a rushing touchdown each. The difference in the game was on third down. D.C. converted 61.5% of their third down plays, while Memphis converted only 37.5%.
However, all that happened last week. Now, it's time to move on to Week 10. Let's look at my favorite bet from both UFL matchups on Sunday.

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Arlington Renegades vs. D.C. Defenders
The Renegades got their second win of the year in Week 9, defeating the St. Louis Battlehawks without AJ McCarron. Their 36-22 victory last week was impressive, as Luis Perez completed 67% of his pass attempts for 259 yards and three touchdowns. Arlington has a 2-7 record this season, including a 0-4 on the road. However, they have only a -3 point differential in 2024, losing only two games by more than one possession.
Many had high hopes for the Defenders this season after they were the top team in the XFL last year. Unfortunately, D.C. has a 4-5 record and has been eliminated from the playoffs. They have one of the worst offenses in the league, averaging 19.8 points per game in 2024. By comparison, the Defenders have surrendered 24.3 points per game on defense, the second-most in the UFL. D.C. has lost four of their past six games.
Both teams will see their season end on Sunday. While the Renegades have the worst record, they have a far superior point differential. Arlington has been in almost every game this year but failed to close them out. Meanwhile, D.C. has three double-digit losses this season, including a 33-point defeat in Week 5 against the St. Louis Battlehawks. While the Defenders got a one-point win over the Renegades in Week 3, expect the outcome to be different on Sunday.
Pick: Renegades +2 (-110)
Houston Roughnecks vs. Memphis Showboats
Houston has arguably the worst team in the UFL this season. Their only win came in Week 4 against a previously winless Arlington Renegades team. Furthermore, the Roughnecks have the lowest-scoring offense in the league, averaging 16.2 points per game. Houston has scored 18 or fewer points in 66.7% of their games this year. However, they have been better lately, totaling 22 or more points in back-to-back contests. More importantly, the Roughnecks lost both games by less than eight points.
The Showboats got an 18-12 victory over the Roughnecks in Week 1. Unfortunately, that has been the team's only win this season. Memphis has lost eight consecutive games by an average of 9.3 points per contest. They have the worst defense in the UFL, surrendering 30.9 points per game this year, 6.6 more than any other team. More importantly, the Showboats have lost six of their past seven games by 15 or more points, including last week.
This matchup is between the two worst teams in the UFL, with both clubs having 1-8 records. However, the Roughnecks have been better lately, losing their past three contests by 14 total points. They have faced a playoff team in five consecutive weeks. Yet, Houston has lost those five games by an average of only 10.2 points per game. While both teams have struggled this year, expect the Roughnecks to get revenge for their Week 1 loss.
Pick: Roughnecks -2 (-110)
