Golden State Valkyries at Indiana Fever WNBA Picks
Caitlin Clark is expected to return Wednesday after a significant absence due to a groin injury. With the oft-injured Clark out of the lineup this season, the Fever have stumbled a bit out of the gate with a 9-9 straight up (SU) and 9-9 against the spread (ATS) record. They'll take on one of the best storylines of the season so far in Golden State.
The Valkyries have surprised a lot of people with their 9-9 SU record and 11-7 ATS mark. They've mostly been a dominant ATS force at home, going 8-2. On the road is a different story, though. Golden State is just 2-6 SU and 3-5 ATS away from home, and they'll have to battle those road demons on Wednesday in Indiana.
The Valkyries have given up 9.8 points per game (PPG) more on the road than at home. They'll have a tough time taking on an elite Indiana offense that shoots over 37% from deep at home and scores 87.2 PPG. With Clark returning to the lineup against a team that struggles on the road, I like the home Fever to take care of business.
Pick: Fever -8.5 (-110)
