Saturday's Best WNBA Player Props & Picks: Valkyries vs. Lynx

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kayla McBride Under 17.5  Points + Assists (-128)

Kayla McBride is averaging 15.4 points per game on the season, while connecting on 45.5% of field goals and dishing out 3.4 assists per contest. McBuckets has been scoring at a decent clip recently; however, the field-goal percentage has been a little erratic over the last seven games. Despite the heavy juice, there's still enough meat on the bone to favor the under on this selection.

The Minnesota guard has failed to tally up more than a combined 17.5  points + assists in four out of the last seven games. McBride is averaging 13.7 points on 40% shooting from the field over that span, and 2.6 assists per game. The veteran out of Notre Dame has also had some issues connecting from beyond the arc, shooting an uncharacteristic 31% in the last seven games for the Lynx.

Golden State is holding opponents to the second-fewest amount of points per game (77.2) and the lowest field-goal percentage of all teams in the league. The Valkyries are only allowing 71.2 points over the last five games on a cold 34.8% shooting from the field. It just so happens that Golden State is also tied with Minnesota for the fewest amount of assists allowed per contest (16).

Kayla Thornton 2+ Three-Pointers (-114)

We close out our selections with a three-point total that comes across a bit too low considering recent performances. Kayla Thornton is hoisting up 6.5 three-pointers each contest this season. Unfortunately, the fiery veteran is only connecting at a 28.8% clip. The efficiency has increased over the last five games, and we feel Thornton is in a great spot to hit two three-pointers or more this evening.

Thornton has made two or more three-pointers in seven of the previous 10 contests. The Golden State forward knocked down 24 baskets from beyond the arc over that span, while shooting 34.8%. Thornton is averaging 2.4 three-point baskets over the previous five games as well.

The forward for the Valkyries is coming off an abysmal 0-5 performance from beyond the arc in the last contest for Golden State. We expect a return to form in this contest. Thornton hit a total of five three-pointers in the previous two games, with six consecutive games of two or more baskets from deep before that.

Enjoy the games tonight and good luck with your picks.
