Week 4 NFL Power Rankings (2019)

After three weeks, the NFL has eight undefeated teams and seven teams still looking for their elusive first win. Since 1990, 73.8% of teams that started 3-0 have made the playoffs, which gives hope to seven of the eight undefeated teams, with the Lions being 2-0-1. From a betting standpoint, six teams are still undefeated ATS, including the Colts who are 2-0-1, while the Eagles, Dolphins, and Chargers have yet to cover this season.

32) Miami Dolphins (Prev: 32)
The Dolphins trailed 10-6 at halftime, the first time they have been within one score heading into the break this season. While the final score looks horrible, they performed much better on the field this week. Josh Rosen went 18-39 for 200 yards in the loss.

31) New York Jets (Prev: 29)
There's no denying that without Sam Darnold, the Jets are hopeless. The offense mustered just 105 total yards on Sunday in their 30-14 loss to New England, and they failed to score either of New York's touchdowns. Their upcoming bye week is more than welcome.

30) Washington Redskins (Prev: 28)
What a horrible performance by the Redskins on Monday night. Case Keenum threw three interceptions as the team racked up five turnovers. How much longer before we see Dwayne Haskins?

29) Cincinnati Bengals (Prev: 30)
The Bengals stormed back from a 14-0 halftime deficit to take a 17-14 lead with 4:54 remaining against the Bills. However, their defense was unable to stand tall, and they gave up a seven-play, 78-yard touchdown drive that sent Cincinnati to 0-3. The offense had four turnovers in the loss.

28) Denver Broncos (Prev: 27)
The turnover battle destroyed any slim chance that the Broncos had at springing the upset at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Denver's defense has yet to force a turnover this season, leading to a turnover margin of -4.

27) Oakland Raiders (Prev: 26)
The Raiders looked terrible in Minnesota on Sunday, finding themselves in an early 21-0 hole that they never managed to dig out of. One bright spot was tight end Darren Waller, who hauled in 13 catches for 134 yards.

26) Arizona Cardinals (Prev: 24)
Kyler Murray and the Cardinals' offense struggled mightily on Sunday, managing just 248 total yards, with Murray throwing two interceptions. The defense, which looked promising in Week 2, gave up four passing touchdowns to Kyle Allen who was making only the second start of his career.

25) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Prev: 23)
Who are the real Tampa Bay Buccaneers? Is it the team we saw in Weeks 1 and 3, or is it the group that pulled off a huge road upset on Thursday Night Football in Carolina? The offense had 499 total yards and very nearly spoiled Daniel Jones' first start, but Matt Gay missed a game-winning 34-yard field goal as time expired to send the Bucs to 1-2.

24) New York Giants (Prev: 31)
This might be a huge overreaction, but Daniel Jones gave the Giants a spark that hasn't been seen in New York for years. In his first start, the rookie led an 8-play, 75-yard drive that was capped by his own seven-yard rushing touchdown. Saquon Barkley's injury is cause for concern, but after Jones' performance, Giants fans have to be feeling good about their team.

23) Pittsburgh Steelers (Prev: 21)
The Steelers defense caused five turnovers, leading to a turnover margin of +3, but they weren't able to stop Jimmy Garoppolo from finding Dante Pettis with 1:15 left for the go-ahead touchdown. The offense had only 239 yards and 11 first downs in the loss.

22) Carolina Panthers (Prev: 25)
Kyle Allen looked fantastic relieving Cam Newton on Sunday, going 19-26 for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Christian McCaffrey bounced back with 153 yards rushing and a touchdown after a lackluster performance in Week 2. The biggest takeaway from this game was the play of the defense, which gave up just 248 total yards to a team that had been averaging 368 yards per game.

21) Atlanta Falcons (Prev: 18)
For the entire second half, the Falcons looked like a better team than the Colts, but the defense couldn't make a big stop in the fourth quarter to get the ball back in Matt Ryan's hands. After three weeks, we're still no closer to knowing if this team is a legitimate contender for the NFC South title.

20) Cleveland Browns (Prev: 16)
Baker Mayfield struggled again, posting a QBR of 28.9 and failing to find a way to punch the ball into the end zone with 1st and goal and the game on the line. He averaged just 5.4 yards per completion.

19) Los Angeles Chargers (Prev: 9)
Until they get healthy, the Chargers are in a lot of trouble. Philip Rivers was sacked five times as the offensive line struggled to give him a clean pocket all day. The secondary gave up 337 passing yards, while the front seven held the Texans to just 39 rushing yards.

18) Tennessee Titans (Prev: 14)
After exploding for 43 points in the opener, the Titans have managed just 24 points total in their last two games. Marcus Mariota was pressured a career-high 18 times on Thursday night, in a game that the Titans never felt like they were in. They also accumulated nine penalties for a whopping 101 yards.

17) Buffalo Bills (Prev: 22)
The Bills are 3-0 for the first time since 2011. We will find out if they're for real this weekend when they welcome Tom Brady and the Patriots to town for a contest that will determine the early frontrunner in the AFC East. Against Cincinnati on Sunday, the offense amassed 416 yards, while the defense forced four Bengals' turnovers.

16) Jacksonville Jaguars (Prev: 19)
The Jaguars dominated the Titans from start to finish on Thursday night in an impressive team-effort victory. Gardner Minshew II continues to look comfortable, going 20-30 for 204 yards and two touchdowns.

15) Seattle Seahawks (Prev: 10)
The Seahawks have not looked good this season, and it finally caught up to them on Sunday when they lost a huge home game to Teddy Bridgewater and the Saints. They outgained the Saints 515-265 on offense but failed to capitalize, putting the ball in the end zone only once before the fourth quarter.

14) Philadelphia Eagles (Prev: 7)
That's back to back losses for an Eagles team that now has to travel to Lambeau Field for a Thursday night clash with the Packers. The diminished receiving corps was led by Mack Hollins who recorded four catches for 62 yards and by Nelson Agholor who had eight catches for 50 yards and two touchdowns.

13) Detroit Lions (Prev: 20)
It's time to give the Lions some respect. If it weren't for an implosion in the fourth quarter against Arizona, this team would be 3-0 and tied with the Packers atop the NFC North. Their wins have come against injury-riddled teams in the Chargers and Eagles, but both teams were thought to be Super Bowl contenders at the start of the season. The Lions are undefeated through Week 3 for the first time since 2011. Jamal Agnew had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown, the first kickoff return touchdown in the NFL this season.

12) San Francisco 49ers (Prev: 17)
They just got by, but the 49ers remain unblemished after Jimmy Garoppolo led the offense down the field for a game-winning touchdown with 1:15 left. It's hard to believe in a team that turns the ball over five times in one game, but the 49ers didn't get flustered and found a way to win, which at the end of the day, is all that matters.

11) Houston Texans (Prev: 15)
J.J. Watt recorded two of the Texans' five sacks in the victory over the Chargers, which has put the rest of the NFL on alert that he is back. Houston are averaging 115 rushing yards per game despite having only 39 on Sunday.

10) Indianapolis Colts (Prev: 13)
The Colts could easily be 0-3, but on the flip side, they are arguably one overtime coin flip away from being 3-0. Jacoby Brissett continues to impress as Andrew Luck’s replacement, going 28-37 for 310 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. The rush offense is sixth in the NFL averaging 149.7 yards per game.

9) Chicago Bears (Prev: 12)
Mitchell Trubisky threw just five incompletions on Monday night, as the Bears' offense finally came to life, scoring more points than in their first two games combined. Taylor Gabriel recorded six catches for 75 yards and three touchdowns in the victory.

8) Baltimore Ravens (Prev: 11)
They're not moving up because of their performance on Sunday, but rather because of the performances of the teams that were ahead of them. In their first real test of the season, they failed to stay close, and while the final score shows a one-possession game, the fact remains that the Ravens are still a step away from being one of the league's best.

7) Dallas Cowboys (Prev: 5)
The Cowboys looked horrible in the first half against the Dolphins, leading just 10-6 going into the break. However, they gathered themselves together and pulled away in the second half. Perhaps the Cowboys were looking ahead to next week's matchup at New Orleans.

6) Minnesota Vikings (Prev: 8)
Dalvin Cook continued his stellar start to the 2019 season, recording his third straight 100-yard game, and he finds himself as the NFL's leading rusher heading into Week 4. If the running game continues to look this way, Minnesota is capable of beating any team in the league.

5) New Orleans Saints (Prev: 6)
Teddy Bridgewater led the Saints to a stress-free victory in one of the toughest environments to play on Sunday. At one point the Saints led 27-7, and while the final score was 33-27, Russell Wilson found the end zone as time expired to cut the deficit in half.

4) Green Bay Packers (Prev: 4)
We still haven't seen the Packers put together a full 60 minutes this season, which makes it all the scarier that they are 3-0. The defense forced three turnovers in the victory over Denver, while the offense didn't turn the ball over for the second time this season.

3) Los Angeles Rams (Prev: 3)
They're 3-0, but the offense still hasn't looked crisp this season, failing to score a first-half touchdown for the second straight week. The defense should be enough to find a way to win this week against the Bucs, but then the Rams have back to back games against the two teams challenging them for the NFC West in the Seahawks and 49ers. The offense has to be better by then.

2) Kansas City Chiefs (Prev: 2)
The Chiefs' line opened at -5.5 against Baltimore, which means the final score left more than a few bettors screaming at their televisions. While the scoreboard will show a 33-28 final, the Chiefs were well in control for most of Sunday's contest. They held at least a two-possession lead from late in the second quarter all the way until 6:39 left in the fourth, when Justin Tucker's field goal cut the lead to eight.

1) New England Patriots (Prev: 1)
The Patriots have yet to beat a team with a win this season. They will get their chance this week when they take on the Bills for AFC East supremacy. The defense held the Jets offense to 105 yards and 0 points. Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham saw his first NFL regular-season action and went 2-3 for 14 yards and a pick-six.
