What is BettingPros?

It’s a fun time of year. The NFL playoff race is heating up, the NBA is in full swing and soon the MLB season will be moving as swiftly as a game-saving Rob Gronkowski tackle (too soon?). In any event, it really is the most wonderful time of the year.

With that in mind, we’re excited to announce today that we’ve launched our new sports betting site: BettingPros.com. It’s a completely separate site from FantasyPros.com, but if you’re a fan of FP, you’ll notice BettingPros shares many of the characteristics that you’ve grown accustomed to.

In a nutshell, BettingPros will pull together expert picks from across various platforms (websites, podcasts, TV, people shouting from rooftops, etc). We’ll objectively rate the advice and turn it into consensus picks that can help you make winning bets. Simply put, we want to make it easy for you to get sports betting advice you can trust from reliable sources. We’ll do this by:

  • Showing you without bias who the best experts are based on historical accuracy.
  • Providing consensus game picks (ATS and O/U) from the top experts.
  • Giving you an easy way to compare picks across multiple experts.
  • Offering proactive alerts on favorable betting opportunities.

Here’s a little more detail on each item above…

Accuracy Ratings
We’ve already been tracking the NFL sports betting accuracy of 140+ experts this season using a methodology that analyzes their Against the Spread and Over/Under predictions. We’ll show you exactly which experts have been the most accurate and offer various reports to view their performance across various splits. This accuracy data serves as a layer you can leverage or reference when viewing picks all across our site.

Consensus Advice
We consolidate the game picks from 140 experts into one set of consensus predictions. With our Matchup Pages, you can easily see who the Expert Consensus likes Against the Spread and for the Over/Under of each game. If you prefer to see the consensus from just the Most Accurate Experts (top 20%), we offer that as well along with expert notes, confidence ratings, stats, and other helpful information on each game.

Expert Pick Comparisons
Quickly see who every expert is picking ATS and for the O/U of each game in one simple view. We’ll show you who the experts like by game, what their accuracy scores are and how that all combines to form the Expert Consensus picks for the week.

Sports Betting Alerts
In the future, we’ll offer a proactive heads up on favorable bets based on line movements, consensus picks from the most accurate experts, in-game betting opportunities, vetted systems in play, and other alerts that you care about. Simply put, we’ll monitor all of the major sportsbooks to identify the best opportunities to make your betting experience easier (and more profitable!).
