Seattle Storm at Golden State Valkyries First Basket Picks

Seattle has made the first basket in eight of 10 games (four on the road). Golden State has done so in six of nine, including four times at home. Five different players have made one for the Storm; Nneke Ogwumike, Gabby Williams, and Skylar Diggins have made two. For Golden State, it has been Kayla Thornton (2x; 3x first basket for the team) and Janelle Salaun (3x).

This is a tough one since Golden State has been taking care of this prop at home. However, Seattle has done well with it on the road. Both bring some momentum into the game; Seattle is on a three-game winning streak, and Golden State is on a two-game winning streak. But, since they are an expansion team, I think the momentum from their streak, coupled with playing at home, could give the Valkyries an edge here.

I'd split your stake between the two. But if you want to roll the dice on just one of them, back Thornton.

    Our Picks: Kayla Thornton/Janelle Salaun
