Tuesday’s Best WNBA Picks & Bets

(Picks courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Dallas Wings at New York Liberty

The Liberty have struggled mightily in the absence of star forward Breanna Stewart. Since her departure from the lineup, the Liberty have lost all five contests and gone 0-4-1 ATS in the process. Despite a push against the Lynx, New York has actually played a rather light schedule in the process with games against Dallas, Los Angeles and two against Connecticut.

New York will take on Dallas again on Tuesday. The Wings will be without DiJonai Carrington who was dealt to Minnesota. Even though Carrington was a strong player off the bench, Dallas should still have plenty of firepower in the lineup with Ogunbowale and Bueckers in the lineup. Those two both scored 20 in the win over New York last week.

The Liberty have trended some pretty poor defensive performances recently. They allowed 97.7 PPG in the recent stretch against Los Angeles, Dallas and Minnesota. They had some more success against Connecticut but that is easily the worst offense in the league per ORtg. New York is a big favorite on Tuesday, but there is nothing they've shown that makes me think they can cover in their present state.

Pick: Wings +10.5 (-115)

Minnesota Lynx at Seattle Storm

This will be the third matchup of the season between these two teams. They split the first two meetings with each team pulling off a victory, but the Storm covered the spread in both contests. In this game, the Lynx will be without their do-it-all star Napheesa Collier.

Collier being out of the lineup is a big hit for Minnesota. She's the league leader in scoring by over two points per game. However, Minnesota has been a juggernaut all season. They lead the league in both ORtg and DRtg and their Net Rtg is more than double any team in the league. They shoot the ball at the best eFG% clip and are one of the best teams at taking care of the ball. Even without Collier, they are a well oiled machine.

Seattle, meanwhile, has struggled for the better part of a month. In their last ten games they've been 3-7 ATS with their only wins coming against the Sun, Sky and Valkyries, all of which are squarely in the bottom half of the league. Seattle has had success against the Lynx and Minnesota is short handed, but the recent struggles for Seattle has me backing the best team in the league in a rare underdog spot.

Pick: Lynx +2.5 (-115)

Indiana Fever at Los Angeles Sparks

The two hottest teams in the league will square off in a late night cap of WNBA action. Both of these teams are known for their offensive prowess and for good reason. Both rank in the top five of ORtg with elite shooting numbers. Additionally they both like to play at a fast pace with both averaging over 79 possessions per 40 minutes.

Indiana has had a really strong defense this season, allowing opponents to shoot a league low 30.7% from deep. They've also been incredible adept at turning opponents over with a 15.6% turnover rate. These numbers have led them to a 16-14 record to the Under on the season, but with Caitlin Clark out of the lineup, they've been producing more Overs.

The Sparks have been the best Over team in the league. They're 18-8-1 to the Over on the season including an 8-1 record over their last nine. This is thanks in large part to an offensive explosion of 93.2 PPG. The Sparks have the profile to have success against this Fever defense. I'll be backing the offenses in this one and rooting for a high scoring affair.
