After a jam-packed Tuesday schedule, the slate lightens up on Wednesday. The only game features the Atlanta Dream traveling to Phoenix to take on the Mercury. Here is a deeper dive into the matchup to look for some best bets.

Atlanta Dream at Phoenix Mercury
This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams. Atlanta will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back after a matchup with the Aces on Tuesday night. Phoenix has been a house of horrors for opposing teams this year. The Mercury are an impressive 9-3 SU and 8-4 ATS at home this year.
A big reason for the home success is some incredible long range shooting. In those games, the Mercury are shooting 35.7%% from deep with high volume of 29.4 3PA per game. However, the Dream are a team that could provide that kryponite. Atlanta allows just 30.0% of their opponent FGA from deep, 20.6 3PA per game. They have the ability to neutralize Phoenix's biggest offensive threat.
For Atlanta, this will be the second night of a back-to-back. They only have one such other game this season and they managed to shut down the Connecticut Sun offense to the tune of 55 points and 31.3% shooting from the floor. They have a strong defense, fourth in DRtg, and that travels.
I like the Dream to slow down the strong Mercury offense, regardless of their home success offensively this year. However, the Mercury have still shown up defensively at home and can take advantage of an Atlanta offense that will have tired legs after playing on Tuesday. I'll be backing the Under in this game and I'll also being taking the Mercury to cover the spread.
