Los Angeles Sparks at Las Vegas Aces WNBA Picks
It's been a surprisingly slow start to the season for the Aces. They sit only 4-3 on the year and they pose a NRtg that is ninth in the league. However, they've been much better at home where they've won both games, going 1-1 ATS.
The Aces will host the Sparks on Wednesday night, a rematch from nearly two weeks ago, when the Aces buried the Sparks from deep in route to a 96-81 victory. The Sparks actually outshot and out rebounded the Aces but could not get over a 48% 3P% and 20 made free throws.
On the season, these are both fairly strong three point shooting teams with 3P% in the top half of the league, but the Sparks struggled by going 7-of-24 from deep including a 1-of-7 night from Kelsey Plum in her return to Las Vegas.
The advanced stats indicate that these are actually two very closely rated teams. The Sparks have an edge in overall shooting, although both are strong from deep. I expect this games to be much closer than their last matchup.
