Dallas Wings at Phoenix Mercury WNBA Picks
It's been another rough season for the Dallas Wings. Despite adding Paige Bueckers, who is set to return on Wednesday, they haven't been able to change their luck on the court and sit at a league worst 1-9. There has been things to like on the offensive end, but the defense has been putrid. Dallas has given up 88.1 PPG which is good enough for worst in the Western Conference.
Phoenix, on the other hand, has predicated their gameplay on the defensive end. They have the highest defensive turnover rate in the league at 18.6% which could make life hard on the Dallas backcourt. Dallas also likes to get to the rim, but Phoenix allows just 33.9% of their opponents' attempts at the rim, one of the lowest rates in the league.
The Mercury are a team that will take a lot of threes but aren't particularly strong at shooting them with only a 32.1% shooting rate on the year. Forcing Phoenix into these poor shots could be a key to Dallas keeping this game low-scoring.
