Lynx vs. Valkyries WNBA Picks & Bets
Minnesota Lynx Winning at End of Every Quarter (-110)
The Minnesota Lynx may once again be without the services of star player Napheesa Collier, who is dealing with a knee ailment. That did not deter the Lynx from picking up the win against the Mercury on Friday, as Minnesota improved to 5-0 on the season.
The Valkyries are an expansion team, so it's going to take time for any chemistry to be present early on. Golden State, unfortunately, lacks the defensive prowess it will take to contain the scoring options on the Lynx, even if Collier is not on the floor. This will make the prospect of having a lead at the end of any quarter highly improbable.
Kayla McBride, the ultimate McBucket, is back on the floor for Minnesota and will most likely inherit the scoring reins if Collier is once again unable to suit up. McBride has scored a combined 35 points in her two games played this season, while knocking down at least three shots from beyond the arc on 46% shooting outside the perimeter.
Minnesota is coming off nearly winning the championship and has its sights set on making another trip to the WNBA Finals in 2025. The Lynx are playing near top form, while Golden State is still searching for identity and cohesion. Despite the possibility of not having their best player on the floor today, we still feel the Lynx can hold a lead throughout this contest.
Enjoy the games today and good luck with your picks.
