WNBA Picks & Predictions: Saturday (7/11)
The WNBA season continues, with the All-Star break on the horizon. There isn't a better league to bet on, and I'll be here every Saturday with the best WNBA picks of the day. There are three games on this slate with a lot to consider. The highlight, of course, is Minnesota hosting the New York on ABC. We also have Mercury-Aces and Fire-Dream.
It wasn't the best round of betting last time out, but riding the dips is just part of the game. Let's bounce back and get to the best bets for Saturday, July 11th.

Saturday’s Best Bets and Predictions
Last Time: 0-2 | Season: 11-11
New York Liberty vs. Minnesota Lynx
Starting off with the game of the day, the New York Liberty travel to Minnesota to face the Lynx. Minnesota sits around a 4.5-point favorite with the total hovering around 174.5 points. You don't want to miss this game.
After starting the season 10-2, the Lynx have settled in, going 6-4 over their last 10 games. Still good, but not dominant. Even without Napheesa Collier, what they've done this season is impressive. Their defense has been dominant as the league’s best-ranked unit, and they are still tied atop the standings with the Las Vegas Aces.
Still, despite the Lynx losing their juggernaut status and being without Collier, they still should be a bigger favorite in this game. New York has just not been a scary team, and they're hit with the injury bug right now. Satou Sabally, Rebecca Allen, Pauline Astier and Leonie Fiebich are questionable or out. That's a lot of role players who throw a wrench in the cogs if they miss.
Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu can only do so much. Looking over their last seven games, the Liberty rank 10th in Net Rating. Their defense takes a big hit on the road, and I simply think the Lynx will be too much for them. This line has fluctuated between 3.5 and 5.5, so remember to grab the best line available.
Pick: Lynx -4.5 (-115 at BetMGM)
Portland Fire vs. Atlanta Dream
Another game we have tonight is the Portland Fire and the Atlanta Dream. Atlanta is listed as a heavy 12.5-point favorite, with the total around 173.5 points. Last time out, Angel Reese burned me, and as a Chicago Sky fan, I should be used to it by now. I decided to fade the former Sky star a week ago, but this time I'm changing direction.
Portland has been treading water this year as a 9-13 team in their first season, but of late, it appears teams have figured them out. Over their last seven games, the Fire have been extinguished, ranking as the worst team overall by Net Rating while sitting last defensively. They've been the worst defensive rebounding team in the country, and that has at least stayed consistent all season.
Reese will eat on the glass on both sides of the court and see a lot of second-chance looks. She posted 30 combined points + rebounds last time out against Portland. It would be a shock if she struggled at home tonight against the worst defensive team in the league.
Pick: Angel Reese Over 27.5 Points + Rebounds (-108 at FanDuel Sportsbook)
