Sunday's Best WNBA Bets

2026 Regular Season: 16-14-0 | Last: 2-0 | (Odds courtesy of Bet365)

Indiana Fever (-3.5) at Chicago Sky (+140) | O/U 186.5 (-110/-110)

Indiana leads the season series, 2-0, with the Fever taking last August 8’s game here in Chicago, 90-86. The first meeting went to OT, so the Sky have played the Fever close all season. The Storm are 1-12 in their last 13 games, with that W against the Sky being their lone victory since thumping the Sparks back on July 6.
The Sky have won three in a row and are 6-4 in their last 10. By contrast, Indiana has lost back-to-back games to New York and Dallas, but is also 6-4 in its last 10 and remains in 2nd place in the East thanks to two recent 5-game winning streaks.
Indiana just lost last a close one last night and has this tip-off set for 24 hours later. Even after gaining an hour traveling back to the Midwest, the tipoff is 6 PM local, so the same time as Saturday’s in Brooklyn. Regardless, the quick turnaround paired with travel makes a road victory with zero rest exponentially harder. A red-hot Sky team offering 1.4x to win at home, a place they have won back-to-back contests and three of their last four? Sign me up!
Indiana leads the season series, 2-0, with the Fever taking last August 8’s game here in Chicago, 90-86. The first meeting went to OT, so the Sky have played the Fever close all season, and the lack of rest on Indy’s part feels like it just has to bite them in the end tonight. For what it’s worth, in that 90-86 loss, Chicago won the first quarter and both quarters of the second half, so maybe that Knicks-esque style of play can pay off tonight. Chicago has won the second half in both meetings so far, and I think that should be the difference tonight.
No one wants to play the Sky right now, and that’s exactly who Chicago is scared of at the moment…no one.

Pick: Sky Moneyline (+140) & Sky +3.5 (-105)

Washington Mystics (-5.5) at Portland Fire (+175) | O/U 165.5 (-110/-110)

The Mystics are 21-15 and currently hold the 7-seed in the playoffs with just eight games remaining. They have won two of their last three games, seven of 10, and nine of 12. Their four losses in their last 13 games have been to three of the top teams in the W (Las Vegas 2x, Minnesota, and Golden State), so they have been taking care of business against the teams they are supposed to beat.
The Fire have won four of their last six games, but they have also won just four of their last 11 games. Additionally, those four wins have come against three of the worst records in the W (Seattle 2x, Phoenix, Toronto), and they are coming off a bad loss to the Tempo. This was a Toronto squad that was mired in a franchise-worst 12-game losing streak that dated back to July 14, when the streak began with a home thumping by the aforementioned Washington Mystics. Did I mention that 12-game skid was preceded by a lone win with four Ls before that? That means when this Portland team lost to Toronto, they were 1-16 in their previous 17 games dating all the way back to June 27. Today is August 23…
All this to say, the ‘Sticks are the better, hotter squad right now, and all you need to say to your sportsbook is Play Misty for me…

Pick: Mystics -5.5 (-105)
