The WNBA season rolls on tonight with a trio of great games for our viewing and betting pleasure. Will Minnesota take down Toronto? Can Chicago beat Connecticut, and how about the WNBA Commissioner's Cup rematch between New York and Las Vegas? Let's answer each question with our top WNBA picks.

Thursday’s Best WNBA Picks & Predictions

Minnesota Lynx vs. Toronto Tempo
Minnesota has the best record in the league, one of the most productive offenses and, according to season-long stats, one of the top defenses. However, the team has not been playing great defense of late, allowing teams to score an average of 90.2 points over the last five games. Toronto has not been great on either end of the court, averaging around 84 points per game over the last five while allowing close to 100.
I hesitate to make this pick because I watched the game between these two a couple of days ago in Minneapolis. The logical part of my brain is screaming to go with the Tempo and the points. However, Toronto has been the best against the spread (ATS) team on the road this season (8-3) and one of the worst at home. (5-9).
Napheesa Collier, Olivia Miles and co. will play better than they did on Tuesday.
Pick: Minnesota -12.5 (-106)
Connecticut Sun vs. Chicago Sky
It's challenging enough to pick a winner when the two teams with the worst records face off. But what do you do when they've both been hit hard with injuries? I'd say go against the team missing more impact players. But the Sun are down Brittney Griner and Aliyah Edwards, while the Sky are without Skylar Diggins and Azura Stevens.
That looks like a push, so now I'm going to turn to recent games. Both are 2-3 in their last five games; Connecticut has lost three in a row and Chicago two. But the Sky have been much more competitive, losing by just a point to the Liberty and Dream.
My expectations are low, but Chicago is in a better position to win with Kamilla Cardoso and Sydney Taylor leading the way. The Sky should win this by at least five points.
Pick: Chicago -4.5 (-114)
New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces
Both teams are in a different place than they were back when they met in the WNBA Commissioner's Cup title game. Las Vegas has superstar A'ja Wilson in the lineup this time. New York isn't missing either of its superstars, but the Liberty are down some role players (Leonie Fiebich, Satou Sabally and possibly Marine Johannes).
The Liberty have really struggled on the defensive end of late, with opponents averaging 100+ points per game over the last five. If they were playing well, they'd struggle to stop or slow down Wilson. But with how they've been playing, Wilson is in for a big night.
If you can't slow Wilson down, you will more than likely not come close to beating the Aces. Vegas will get its revenge for the WNBA Commissioner's Cup loss tonight with a convincing win.
