The WNBA regular season continues tonight with three games on the schedule. The New York Liberty and Indiana Fever kick off the slate at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, with two more tip-offs at 10:00 p.m. ET. Washington Mystics (+235) at Las Vegas Aces (-290) | O/U 170.5 (-112/-108)
The Mystics (19-12) and Aces (22-12) meet at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino at 10:00 p.m. ET. This is the only game on the slate that is not nationally televised.
Washington won a thrilling 100-99 game as 6.5-point underdogs, as the over (164.5) cashed in the most recent meeting between these two teams in the nation’s capital on July 22nd. And, perhaps a bit surprisingly, the Mystics have won three of the past four meetings against the defending champs.
Washington is 7-3 against the spread (ATS) in the past 10 meetings in the series since August 26th, 2023. The over has cashed in the past two meetings, and three of the past four in the series.
Washington comes into this game on fire, positioning itself for a postseason run. The Mystics have won seven in a row, including that victory over the Aces, and it is on an 8-0 ATS heater, too. The over has cashed in five of the past seven games, with Washington filling up the basket for 90+ points in five of the past seven outings.
Las Vegas will have redemption on its mind after that gut-wrenching loss in D.C. last month. The Aces are coming off an embarrassing 111-71 loss in New York on Sunday, although it did rest several stars in the second end of an East Coast back-to-back situation.
The Aces are just 5-5 straight up (SU) across the past 10 games; however, they have covered the past two outings. The over is 3-1 in the past four games and 8-2 across the past 10 outings.
Let’s rock with the Mystics catching the points, and the trends for both teams point to the over. Remember, we had 199 combined points in the first meetings between these sides.

Phoenix Mercury (+110) at Los Angeles Sparks (-130) | O/U 177.5 (-112/-108)
The Mercury (12-22) and Sparks (12-19) meet in Southern California, but it won’t be the Kelsey Plum redemption game. She was shipped to the Valley of the Sun prior to the trade deadline, but she is out due to a lower-left leg injury. For the Sparks, Monique Akoa Makani, the other main piece in that trade, is questionable due to a right ankle injury.
Phoenix lost 95-75 in Washington last time out on Sunday, and it has dropped three in a row, while going 0-3 ATS in the span. The under has cashed in two of those three games, although the over is 4-2 across the past six outings. Prior to the 0-3 ATS slide, Phoenix had covered five in a row, including an 86-82 win in L.A. on July 22nd.
The Sparks have shown some signs of life lately, winning two of the past four games, both on the road, including a stunning 89-82 win in Minnesota as 16.5-point underdogs last Thursday. The under has cashed in three in a row for L.A., and six of the past eight outings.
Despite the win for Phoenix in the most recent meeting, L.A. is 2-1 SU/ATS in the season series, with the over cashing in two of the three meetings. Los Angeles is 3-1 ATS in the past four meetings in the series.
Los Angeles is playing a little better basketball lately. Perhaps if Plum were able to suit up, we’d consider the Mercury, but let’s back the Sparks. Based on recent trends and a rather high total on the board, let’s back the under.
