Thursday’s Best WNBA Player Prop Picks

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Satou Sabally Over 19.5 Points (-110)

After a long-awaited arrival, Satou Sabally has finally graced the court for the Wings. A shoulder injury forced her to miss most of the 2024 campaign, leaving the team without one of their most qualified scoring options.

Sabally has scored 20 points or more in each of the two contests played since returning. This includes a 24-point performance against the Liberty on Tuesday where she knocked down five three-pointers on eight attempts.

Since rejoining the team, the Dallas forward is averaging 22 points on 45% shooting from the field, including an eye-popping 57% from beyond the arc on 14 attempts.

The possibility of this contest being a one-sided affair does cause some reluctance. However, in the 20-point loss to the Liberty on Tuesday, Sabally was able to see 36 minutes of playing time.

Breanna Stewart Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+105)

Stewie gets the opportunity to follow up on a fantastic outing against the Wings two nights ago, where the New York forward scored 26 points, successfully knocking down three baskets from beyond the arc.

Something has certainly awoken within Breanna Stewart since the All-Star game, which has carried into the post-Olympic break portion of the season. In the last four contests, she is averaging 25.5 points per game on 47% shooting from the field.

In these stretch of contests, the Gold Medal winner has successfully drained 10 three-pointers. In three-of-four games, she made at least three shots from deep.

Dallas is allowing 7.7 three-pointers per game on 35% shooting on the season. If Stewart can repeat the 30+ minutes of floor time, this looks like a fantastic spot to clear 2.5 three-pointers.

Jonquel Jones Over 9.5 Rebounds (-120)

Jonquel Jones seems to be on a bit of a rebounding tear as of late. Tonight she faces a Dallas team who hasn't proven to be one of the most efficient teams in regards to field-goal percentage.

Over the last two games, Jones has pulled down an average of 14.5 rebounds, including 12 rebounds against the Wings on Tuesday, while playing 30 minutes. The veteran forward has successfully grabbed more than 9.5 boards in 14-of-28 games and in six of the last 10 games.

Dallas attempts over 69 shots per contest, while only making 44% of those attempts from the field, and 32.7% from three-point distance. The Wings play at the third-fastest pace in the WNBA, meaning there should be no shortage of rebounding opportunities for Jones.

As long as this contest can stay somewhat competitive, the New York forward has an excellent chance to clear 9.5 rebounds tonight.

Arike Ogunbowale Over 2.5 Three-Pointers (-110)

The matchup against one of the best defensive teams in the WNBA is certainly not ideal. However, the Dallas guard has been absolutely sizzling from three-point distance as of late, and the team will absolutely need at least 2.5 long balls to keep this contest respectable.
Arike Ogunbowale has made three or more baskets from deep in three straight contests; including eight in an All-Star game exhibition against the Olympic roster. Over this span, she is shooting at a percentage of 51.4.
New York allows 7.3 shots from beyond the perimeter in each contest out of 22 attempts. The Dallas guard averages 3.0 three-pointers on 8.3 attempts. Over the last three contests, those numbers have increased to 4.6 and 8.6.

Natasha Howard Under 14.5 Points (-120)

The Dallas forward will once again look to get revenge against her former team, which could prove to be a tough hill to climb considering the Liberty are third-best in defensive rating across the WNBA.
The Liberty are averaging 24.4 points allowed by forwards at a 43.8 shooting percentage. New York also concedes the second-lowest amount of points in the paint and the least amount of second-chance opportunities.
The return of Satou Sabally has surprisingly not resulted in any limitations on the minutes for Howard. The Dallas forward has also increased shot attempts in the last two games. However, the efficiency has taken a slight dip, going from 44% on the season to 37%.
New York poses a highly formidable test for the veteran forward. One where we feel Howard may fall just shy of 14.5 points.

Enjoy the game today, and good luck with your picks! Stay tuned for tomorrow's selections where there will be four contests to break down.
