(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Kelsey Plum Over 25.5 Points (-110)
When the Sparks met the Valkyries in the first game of the season, Kelsey Plum put together a massive effort. She was 11-of-19 from the field and a perfect 11-of-11 from the free throw line on her way to a 37-point game. While she hasn't scored more than 25 in a game since, she did drop 25 in her last contest, and she's averaging 26.7 points per game.
Last season, Plum only averaged 17.8 points per game, so perhaps this line is an overreaction to her current season average. But the Valkyries had no answer for her in the first game of the year, and there is no reason to think anything will change tonight. Will Plum score in the mid-30s again? Probably not. But she will still put together another solid scoring night, as she once again leads her team to the win.
Satou Sabally Under 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+128)
Satou Sabally has scored at least 25 points in each game this season, as she has very consistently found her way to an average of 26 points per game. In her first game of the year, she shot 52.9% from the field. In her second, she made 12 free throws. But the one area where she has struggled so far this season is from beyond the three-point line.
Sabally was just 3-of-9 in her first game of the season, and she followed that performance up with a 1-of-4 night from beyond the arc. Last season, she averaged 2.5 made threes per game in limited action. However, she only went 1-of-5 from deep in her game against the Storm. It's still early in the year, but the Storm are holding opponents to the fourth-worst three-point percentage and second-fewest three-pointers in the league. Sabally hasn't shot well, and she only hit this over in her first game because of volume. In a bad matchup, take the under.
A'ja Wilson Over 12.5 Rebounds (-105)
A’ja Wilson is averaging 13 rebounds per game this season, thanks in large part to a massive 16-rebound effort in the first game of the regular season. In her last game, she only pulled down 10 boards, which was a lackluster performance by her standards.
Last season, Wilson averaged 11.9 rebounds per game. She grabbed at least nine rebounds in all three of her games against the Mystics. In her final game against them last season, she snagged 17 rebounds.
The Mystics are a middling team when it comes to rebounds allowed per game. They're allowing the sixth-fewest per contest early in the season. But Wilson finished last season as the league's second-leading rebounder. Based on how she's performed thus far, it's hard to imagine her struggling much tonight, especially when you consider that her 10-rebound performance came against the best rebounding defense in the league.
