WNBA Player Props & Bets: Friday (6/20)

There are three WNBA games scheduled for Friday night, though none feature two teams above .500. In fact, one of the games pits the two worst teams in the league against each other, as the Connecticut Sun hosts the Dallas Wings.

Despite that game not being great from a record perspective, there are two player props I have my eyes on for that contest. Additionally, I'm looking at Kiki Iriafen, as her Washington Mystics battle the Atlanta Dream for the third time this season.

Here are the best WNBA player prop bets for Friday, June 20th.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Tina Charles Over 15.5 Points (+102)

Tina Charles struggled in the second game of a back-to-back on Wednesday. She scored just two points in 15 minutes, as she played significantly fewer than her usual 29.3 minutes per game. Before that performance, Charles had scored at least 17 points in four consecutive games. She has scored at least 19 points in six of her 12 games this season.

Charles is averaging 15.8 points per game, and she shouldn't have any difficulty getting over that number tonight. The first time she faced the Wings, she scored a season-high 27 points. She went 9-of-14 from the field in that game, one of two contests where she shot over 60% this season. The Wings are allowing 87.2 points per game, so the Sun will have plenty of scoring opportunities. Don't let one bad performance skew your opinion of Charles. This is a phenomenal matchup for her.

Paige Bueckers Over 6.5 Assists (+122)

Paige Bueckers is averaging 5.7 assists per game this season, but she has struggled to get her teammates involved in June. In May, she averaged 6.7 assists per game, recording at least seven assists in four of her six contests. However, in June, she's recorded five or fewer assists in all three of her games, and she tied a season-low with just two assists on Tuesday.

All that said, Connecticut is a perfect team for Bueckers to get back on track against. She dished out seven assists when she faced them earlier this season, and they're allowing 20.8 assists per contest, ranking them in the bottom five in the league in the category.

Since returning from injury, Bueckers has attempted at least 18 shots in all three of her games. In her first six games of the season, she never attempted more than 15. While that is worrisome, the Sun allows the most points per game, so even if she shoots more in this game, there will still be enough scoring possessions for her to get her teammates involved.

When you consider the price, the opponent and the fact that this number isn't much higher than Bueckers' season average, it's easy to see why this is one of the best props of the day.

Kiki Iriafen Under 7.5 Rebounds (+104)

Kiki Iriafen has faced the Dream twice this season, but she has yet to hit her season average of nine rebounds. In the first meeting with the Dream, she grabbed just four rebounds in 28 minutes. In her second meeting, she grabbed eight boards. Eight rebounds would be enough to help her clear this total, but the price being offered for the over is too steep.

Iriafen has four double-digit rebounding games this season, but her last came back on May 25th. Since then, Iriafen has grabbed eight or fewer rebounds in five out of seven games, and she has seven or fewer in three of her last six. Iriafen has helped lead the Mystics to the second-most rebounds per game in the league. The problem is that the Dream ranks first.

This is a tough matchup, so the under is the right play.
