Friday’s Best WNBA Player Props & Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Olivia Nelson-Ododa 16+ Points + Rebounds (-120)

Olivia Nelson-Ododa was recently promoted to the starting lineup, and oddsmakers seem to be a bit behind on the production. She should fare well once again in a matchup against a Washington team that may be more concentrated on limiting Brittney Griner. Nelson-Ododa has shown to be more than capable of clearing 15.5 combined points + rebounds as of late.

The Sun forward is coming off a fantastic performance against the Sky, where she scored 11 points and grabbed 15 boards in 27 minutes. The young forward benefited from Aneesah Morrow’s absence due to a leg injury, which will once again be the case tonight.

Nelson-Ododa is on the floor for 12+ minutes more when in the starting lineup. She is averaging 11.5 points and 11.5 rebounds in two games as a starter this season. Nelson-Ododa combined for at least 16+ points + rebounds in both games as the starting forward.

Sonia Citron 26+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-113)

The young guard is on the road this evening to take on the Connecticut Sun. Sonia Citron is currently on a run of elite production for the Washington Mystics. She was named Player of the Week due to an increase in usage, efficiency and scoring volume. The guard out of Notre Dame has played no fewer than 33 minutes over the last four games.

Sonia Citron has been absolutely dominating this combo prop over the last week, and tonight should be no different. Citron is averaging 22.75 points, 5.75 boards and 4.25 assists through the previous four games. The Mystics guard is shooting 52.9% from the field on an average of 12.8 attempts per game over that span.

Citron is being utilized as the primary ball-handler in pick-and-roll scenarios rather than just as a spot-up shooter, which will certainly spike the assists.

When the Sun and Mystics met earlier this month, Citron pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds. The talented guard pretty much has all our confidence to reach a combined 26+ points + rebounds + assists tonight - as long as this contest can stay somewhat competitive.

Sydney Taylor 18+ Points + Rebounds (-128)

The Chicago Sky have committed to keeping Sydney Taylor in their starting lineup, and it's been paying off on the betting front. The undrafted guard out of Louisville worked her way into a full-time role due to a remarkable display of scoring from both below and above the three-point line.

Taylor is averaging 19.2 points, 1.4 rebounds and 23.4 minutes per game over the last five contests. The Sky guard has attempted at least 12 shots in four out of her last five games. She is shooting over 52% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc over that span. Taylor needed only 21 minutes to score 14 points and dish out four dimes when Portland faced Chicago on Wednesday.

The positive facets make it difficult to assume Taylor will fail to record 18+ combined points + rebounds in this contest. The Sky guard owns a 28.2% usage rate through the previous five contests, and has become one of the main scoring options for the team as of late.

Angel Reese Under 29.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-114)

The Dream forward has a tough matchup against one of the league’s top defensive units. Angel Reese is flourishing in Atlanta this season, yet this line may not fully account for the opponent, especially when the Valkyries are on their home floor.

The threshold of 29+ combined points + rebounds + assists for Reese is heavily skewed by her season averages of 14.7 points, 11.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists over 17 games played. She has experienced a slight dip in success over the last three games, and we feel we can exploit this edge tonight. Reese is averaging 13 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.3 dimes in the previous three contests.

Reese is currently shooting 35.9% from the field and 52.4% at the free-throw line in her last three games. The Valkyries allow a thin 76.8 points per game on 42% shooting from the field when playing on their home floor. This selection will be the sweatiest of the bunch by far. Having said that, Reese finished with 10 points, 12 boards and four dimes on Wednesday against Golden State.

Kayla Thornton Under 14.5 Points + Rebounds (-130)

We close out our selections with an option that we have been squeezing for the last couple of weeks. Kayla Thornton's production continues to fluctuate. Due to a productive line of 17 points and five rebounds against Atlanta on Wednesday, this line feels inflated. This is a better matchup than most for Thornton, given Golden State's need to keep their opponent off the boards.

The Valkyries forward is averaging 7.2 points and 5.6 rebounds through the last five games played. Thornton is shooting a woeful 33% from the field over that span, and has connected on only 8-of-24 from beyond the arc. The veteran forward finished with fewer than 15 combined points + rebounds in three out of the last five games.

Given her horrific recent shooting numbers, we wouldn't fault you for taking the under on her points (9.5). However, to play it safe, we feel it may be better to raise our threshold to include rebounds. Even with a very uncharacteristic 17 points on Wednesday, Thornton is still averaging fewer than eight points per game through the previous five contests.

Enjoy the games this evening. Good luck with your picks.
