WNBA Player Props & Bets: Friday (9/18)
There are three games across the association this evening. The stars will no doubt be out in full force for their Nationally televised matchups. Without any further preamble, let's dive right in on some of our favorite player props to consider for Friday, September 18.

Makayla Timpson 17+ Points + Rebounds (-113)
It seems that the oddsmakers have forgotten that before the World Cup break Makayla Timpson was rolling. It's possible they are accounting for the rust factor considering the Fever have not played in three weeks. That could be a mistake on their part, and one that lends itself to a bit of leverage going into this contest.
Makayla Timpson averaged 11.8 points and 8.2 boards through the last six games played before the break. The young forward was shooting a highly impressive 73.8% from the field over that span. Timpson made the most of her seven attempts, and became a lethal option for Caitlin Clark to find.
The forward for Indiana combined for at least 18 points + rebounds in four out of the previous six games, including 3-of-5 road games. Timpson is playing over 29 minutes through the last six contests. Over 10 extra minutes compared to a season average of 19.2.
Kelsey Mitchell 26+ Points (-110)
The next selection will be the sweatiest of the bunch. Regardless, Kelsey Mitchell is playing at a level unseen in the WNBA. The 26 points is troublesome due to the blowout risk. The Tempo will be without the services of quite a few of their players this evening, including Marina Mabrey, who was ruled out for the season as of this week.
It's been so long since Kelsey Mitchell has been on the floor, it's possible the lethal-scoring guard could light up Toronto for 20 points in a five minute span. Mitchell has scored 26 points or more in 19 games through the current streak of 24 consecutive contests with at least 20 points or more. The guard for the Fever has put up no less than 27 points in two games played against Toronto this season.
Jonquel Jones To Record a Double-Double (+142)
Based on ROI, and history against the Minnesota Lynx, this selection is easily our favorite of the bunch. A double-double is certainly difficult to attain against such a formidable opponent. Yet, Jonquel Jones has had no issues whatsoever in regards to putting up double digit points and boards against the Lynx.
Jones has recorded a double-double on two occasions this season when facing Minnesota. The forward for the Liberty is averaging 14.5 points and 13.5 boards. In two games against the Lynx in 2026, Jones finished with at least 10 points and 10 rebounds in 4-of-7 contests, and two out of the last three games played on the road.
Veronica Burton 7+ Assists (-125)
Veronica Burton will once again be the main facilitator for the second time in as many game without the services of two of their most prolific scoring options in Gabby Williams and Janelle Salaun. Burton has been piling up the assists as of late, and will more than likely put emphasis on getting her teammates open looks. Burton gets the benefit of being on her home floor. The guard for Golden Stare averages just under two additional assists when playing at home this season.
Burton has recorded at least seven assists in 4-of-8 games in Golden State. The guard for the Valkyries is averaging 7.5 assists against Portland in 2026. Before taking time off for the FIBA World Cup, Burton recorded seven assists or more in four out six games. The Northwestern alum is going to have to get her teammates involved if the Valkyries want to pick up a win being heavily short-handed in both the starting lineup, as well as off the bench. That bodes well for Burton to amass at least seven assists.
Kayla Thornton 10+ Points (-132)
The Golden State Valkyries will be without Janelle Salaun and Gabbie Williams for this contest against the Fire, as they rest in their return from the World Cup. That opens up the door tremendously for Kayla Thornton who has played well when either Willams or Salaun has been out of the lineup. The Valkyries are absolutely going to need scoring, and as we have previously stated, Veronica Burton may have to take on a facilitating role. The defense will react to Burton, which should free up sone easy looks.
Kayla Thornton would directly benefit from that scenario, and is highly capable of knocking in a three or cutting behind the defense for a quick layup. Thornton is averaging 10 points when Salaun is not on the floor this season. The veteran forward scored 17 points when the Fire and Valkyries met on July 30. Williams and Salaun were not in uniform for this contest either. The options are limited for Golden State tonight. We expect Thornton to get ample opportunity to score 10 points or more.
