WNBA Player Props & Bets: Monday (5/19)

There is only one game on the slate today, and it does not exactly promise to be a “great” matchup. The Dallas Wings and Seattle Storm are both looking for their first win of the season. Are there some player props worth targeting? Of course, there are. Let’s dive in.

Monday’s Best WNBA Player Prop Picks

NaLyssa Smith Under 6.5 Rebounds (+105 ESPN)

Dallas had a difficult first matchup against the Minnesota Lynx, but they won the battle of the boards, 33-31. However, NaLyssa Smith was not a big contributor in the category, only pulling down four rebounds in 18 minutes of play. While Seattle got blasted by Phoenix in their first game, they do boast a number of solid rebounders, with Nneka Ogwumike and Ezi Magbegor leading the charge. My concern for Smith is that it didn’t appear she had yet carved out a defined role on the team, which could continue suppressing her minutes. I love the plus money for her to get stuck at six tonight.

Skylar Diggins Over 6.5 Assists (+100 DraftKings)

According to the WNBA Prop Bet Cheat Sheet, Diggins is projected to be right at seven assists, which I think is exactly what she will get. The game has a projected total of 166.5 points, mostly because neither team seems defensively dominant. Diggins has three primary targets in Ogwumike, Magbegor, and Gabby Williams, and if this turns into a foot race, I can see seven assists to just those three alone. Give me the plus money here.

Paige Bueckers 2+ Three Pointers Made (+110 DraftKings)

I’m not typically a big fan of betting on rookies in their first two or three games, but I am making an exception because this line is so low. Bueckers took two three-point attempts in her opening game and missed them both, but that could easily swing the other direction in Game 2. As Dallas settles into its flow with their overhauled roster, Bueckers could find herself with more open opportunities. Once again, at plus money, I’ll take the chance she finds the bottom of the net twice.
