WNBA Player Props & Bets: Monday (6/9)

We have a lone game on the slate today, with the Valkyries visiting the Sparks in Los Angeles. Golden State showed some oomph in their win over Las Vegas this weekend, so there may be some value on their side tonight.

Monday’s Best WNBA Player Props, Bets & Picks

Kayla Thornton Over 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-120 FanDuel)

Kayla Thornton has been Golden State’s best player through eight games, and she is contributing strongly with both points (13 PPG) and on the glass (6.4 RPG). The Sparks are not a good rebounding team – they rank 12th in the league in total rebounds, whereas the Valkyries rank sixth. Additionally, Los Angeles ranks 10th in points given up to opponents. I expect Thornton to have a nice night in what could be a high-scoring affair.

Kate Martin Under 9.5 Points (-115 HardRock)

Kate Martin is a plug-and-play guard who does whatever she’s asked to do. That being said, she’s only playing about 16 minutes a game, taking an average of six shots, and averaging 7.3 points. The Sparks allow plenty of three-pointers, and she may hit two or three of them, but I think she’ll stall at 9 points.

Rickea Jackson Over 12.5 Points (+100 FanDuel)

Rickea Jackson has been dealing with injuries this season that have limited her to only four games and an average of 7.8 PPG. However, the Valkyries could be the cure for her slow start. Golden State allows the eighth-most points to opponents, and Jackson’s minutes are almost back to her normal amount. I think she can get to 13 and love the plus money.
