Saturday’s Best WNBA Player Props & Bets

Sarah Ashlee Barker Under 4.5 Rebounds (+115 at Hard Rock Bet)

Sarah Ashlee Barker and the Fire take on the best team in the league on Saturday. Portland is a hefty underdog and for good reason.

Minnesota leads the league with the best Net Rating, while Portland is nearly dead last. Minnesota does just about everything well on both sides of the court, and that alone should have us lean toward unders for Portland.

There are quite a few unders in this game that are in play, but Barker's rebound under is particularly enticing. She has been a bit of a rebounding machine lately.

Barker has recorded five or more rounds in seven of her last eight games, dating back to mid-June. A deeper look at those numbers reveals a trend.

Six of the seven games in which Barker recorded five or more rebounds were against the four worst shooting teams in the league. That's not going to be a luxury against Minnesota.

Additionally, if Minnesota does miss, they are the third-best offensive rebounding team in the league. The Lynx will reduce the number of opportunities Barker gets.

Barker and Portland have already played Minnesota this season. She recorded a season-low two rebounds in that game despite playing 25 minutes. I like her to fall short yet again and go under on her rebounding prop.

Sonia Citron Under 16.5 Points (-102 at FanDuel Sportsbook)

When Washington and Golden State match up on Saturday, it will feature the two best defenses by defensive rating and the two slowest teams in terms of pace. All of this indicates that we're in for a low-scoring slugfest. Because of this, I'll be targeting some unders, including Sonia Citron's points under.

Washington has been far from an offensive juggernaut this month, averaging just 69.8 points per game in five July games. Against a Golden State team allowing a league-low 76.1 points per game, we can expect much of the same.

Citron is averaging 11.2 field-goal attempts and 6.5 free-throw attempts per game, helping her reach her season average of 17.3 points per game. Golden State allows fewer shot attempts from their opponents than any other team, and they're better than league average at allowing attempts at the free-throw line.

Citron will have a tough time getting scoring opportunities against this stout defense. She should have a tough time putting up points. I'll be playing her under in a game where points will generally be tough to come by.
