Sunday’s Best WNBA Player Props & Bets
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Jonquel Jones Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (+136)
Jonquel Jones only made one three-pointer in Friday's game versus the Sun, a surprising 78-62 win for the Sun. Connecticut does not have a great perimeter defense or defense in general, for that matter.
It was shocking enough to see it once, but could lightning strike twice? I doubt it. Jones will step up today to help make up for the absence of Breanna Stewart. She has made two or more threes in four of her last six games, and she'll make at least two today.
Allisha Gray Over 2.5 Made Three-Pointers (+122) & 4+ Made Three-Pointers (+310)
Washington has the stingiest three-point defense, with opponents hitting just 30.9% of their attempts. But Allisha Gray will likely take a high percentage of the attempts for the Dream, and teams are averaging 25 per game against them. Gray has hit three or more threes in five of her last seven games, including an incredible 7-for-9 performance against Phoenix last Friday.
Gray will more than likely not go 7-for-9 again, but I like her to hit at least three.
Aliyah Boston Over 8.5 Rebounds (-146) & 10+ Rebounds (+102)
I'm all for riding a hot hand, and Aliyah Boston certainly has that when it comes to rebounding. Since the All-Star break, she has pulled down double-digit boards in every game. Opponents are averaging 36.1 per game against Seattle (11th in the league). She only had eight in the June 24th game versus the Storm.
With how locked in Boston and the Fever have been since the break and with Seattle going 7-7 since that June 24th game, I like Boston to go over 8.5 rebounds today, if not grab at least 10.
Kahleah Copper Over 15.5 Points (-114) & Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-122)
Kahleah Copper is coming off a 19-point outing versus the Dream on Friday. She is only averaging 14.2 since the break, going over 15.5 in just two out of five games (the last two). But against the worst three-point defense (opponents are making 37.1% versus Chicago), I like her to make at least two threes in this game. Cooper had made two or more threes in three out of five games since the break.
If Cooper does, she will likely exceed 15.5 points against the second-worst defense in the league (Chicago is allowing 87.1 points per game).
A'ja Wilson Over 22.5 Points (-113)
Golden State seems to have gotten back on track since getting pummeled by Connecticut, winning three straight. However, against an Aces team fresh off an epic beatdown on their own court versus Minnesota on Friday night, we'll see a Vegas team locked in and ready to make up for that loss. If the team isn’t locked in, A’ja Wilson certainly will be.
Golden State held Wilson to 17 points when these two teams played in San Francisco in June. But when they played in Vegas in July, Wilson went off for 34 points. She may not get close to 34 today, but she'll go over her total and lead her team to a much-needed win.
