(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Rhyne Howard Over 17.5 Points (-115)
Rhyne Howard is averaging 17.6 points per game this season, so on the surface, this line looks to be set right where we should expect her to score tonight. However, Howard has faced the Fever twice this season, and she's scored at least 20 points in both games.
With a high of 24 against the Fever, and multiple games with 18+ points this season, this number should probably be set higher than it is, or at least carry a heftier price for the over.
Howard has scored 15 or fewer points in four games this season. But she's also scored at least 18 in four others, including back-to-back games entering tonight's contest. Two games ago, she scored 33 points on 12-of-24 shooting from the floor.
What's been impressive about how well Howard has scored against the Fever this season is that she hasn't always shot well from the floor. In her 20-point game against them, she was just 5-of-17 from the floor. Despite shooting 29.4% from the field, she still hit this over with ease. This has been a good matchup for her all season. Don't fade her now.
Aliyah Boston Over 7.5 Rebounds (+105)
Aliyah Boston has pulled down at least seven rebounds in both of her games against the Dream this season. In the first meeting between the two teams, she grabbed 10 boards to go along with 24 points. The performance is one of three this season that has seen Boston pull down at least 10 rebounds.
Despite averaging 7.6 rebounds per game, Boston has grabbed seven or fewer boards in five of her eight games this season. While she's snagged seven or fewer in four consecutive games, there's still reason to like her over tonight.
First, when she recorded seven rebounds against the Dream, she only played 23 minutes. That's her lowest playing time this season. Second, the price for this over is great. If this were sitting at a standard -110, it might be worth looking elsewhere. But to get this at +105 when Boston has had success against the Dream, even when her playing time is reduced, is too good to pass up.
Angel Reese Over 12.5 Rebounds (+110)
The key for Angel Reese tonight will be staying on the floor. She is averaging 28.7 minutes per game, and she's played over 30 minutes in three of her seven contests this season. While she always puts up solid rebounding numbers, when she struggles shooting, she tends to see less playing time, which could ultimately keep her from hitting this total.
In her first game against the Liberty, Reese grabbed 12 rebounds despite playing just 27 minutes. In that game, she didn't make a single shot from the floor, as she finished with just two points. That shooting performance kept her on the bench longer than usual, as she played just 27 minutes.
If Reese could have at least hit her season average, she likely would have grabbed 13 rebounds. I'm going to bank on Reese to perform better from the field tonight, even if not by much. This will allow her to stay on the court longer, which will ultimately lead to her just barely hitting this over.
