WNBA Player Props & Bets: Tuesday (8/5)
There are five WNBA games tonight, with just one matchup featuring two teams with winning records. How will Nneka Ogwumike perform in that game between the Minnesota Lynx and Seattle Storm? Elsewhere, can Satou Sabally get on the right track when her Phoenix Mercury host the Connecticut Sun? What should we expect from Sonia Citron when her Washington Mystics face the Chicago Sky for the fourth time this season?
Here are the best WNBA player props and bets for Tuesday, August 5th.

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Satou Sabally Under 15.5 Points (-110) WNBA Player Props
Satou Sabally enters tonight's game in a legitimate slump. She has scored fewer than 10 points in three of her last four games, and she has scored 15 or fewer in nine of her last 11. Because of how well she played at the beginning of the season, she's still averaging 17.2 points per game this season, but it's hard to trust her, even against the worst team in the league.
Connecticut is allowing 87 points per game, which is tied for the second-most in the league. Yet, when the Mercury faced them earlier this season, Sabally scored just 12 points in 29 minutes. Not a single Mercury player scored more than 14 points, despite the team scoring 83. Phoenix is a well-balanced team when it comes to scoring. Sabally leads the team, but two other players are also averaging at least 16 points per game. It's hard to guess which player is going to be the most successful scorer on any given night. With how Sabally has been playing, there's no reason to back her tonight.
Nneka Ogwumike Over 6.5 Rebounds (-114) WNBA Player Props
This line feels like a mistake from oddsmakers. Nneka Ogwumike is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game this season. In two meetings with the Lynx, she has recorded eight and 10 rebounds. On August 1st, she pulled down 12 rebounds against the Los Angeles Sparks, so she does have explosive potential.
The main reason this total is set so low is that Ogwumike has not played well lately. She has grabbed five or fewer rebounds in five of her last six games, and though she's had success against the Lynx this season, she hasn't faced them since June 11th. Still, before the All-Star break, Ogwumike was playing well, as she grabbed at least seven rebounds in five out of seven games.
Ogwumike may be struggling now, but her performance last Friday gives me hope she can have success against a team that she's played great against this season. This number is as low as it's probably going to get this season. Take advantage of the opportunity.
Sonia Citron Over 1.5 Made Three-Pointers (-114) WNBA Player Props
On July 29th, Sonia Citron shot lights out from beyond the three-point line, knocking down five of her six attempts against the Sky. It was undoubtedly her best shooting performance of the season, and it showed what the streaky shooter is capable of in the right matchup.
While I don't expect Citron to make nearly as many threes tonight, this total is set lower than it should be. Citron may only be averaging 1.6 made three-pointers per game, but she has made at least two in two of her three games against the Sky this season. In the other contest, she went 1-of-3 from deep, so she's yet to fail to make a three-point attempt in any of her three meetings against the Sky this season.
In her last game, Citron went just 1-of-4 from deep against the Atlanta Dream. However, she's made at least two threes in two of her last three games, and no team in the league allows opponents to make more threes than the Sky. This is a great matchup, and one that Citron has exploited this season. Look for her to do it again.
