New York Liberty at Las Vegas Aces
- Leg 1: New York Liberty Moneyline (+126)
- Leg 2: Breanna Stewart – Over 19.5 Points (-118)
- Leg 3: Breanna Stewart – 2+ 3-Pointers (+100)
- Leg 4: Jonquel Jones – 2+ 3-Pointers (+100)
The Liberty (22-4) continue to stack victories, routing the Los Angeles Sparks on Thursday in the return to action after the break. New York won 103-68, as the Liberty improved to 10-3 on the road. It was a rare cover as a double-digit favorite, too, as New York was 0-5 against the spread (ATS) in the past five as a favorite of 10 or more points, while going just 1-11 ATS in 12 games this season prior to Thursday.
New York shot 53.4% (39-of-73) from the field, while hitting 50.0% (15-of-30) from downtown. Olympian Breanna Stewart was good for 27 points on an efficient 10-of-15 shooting, while adding four rebounds, two assists and three 3-pointers. Sabrina Ionescu also took advantage of a poor Sparks perimeter defense, hitting three triples, while ending up with 18 points.
The Aces (16-8) will return to action for the first time since the break. They suffered a 90-82 loss to the Liberty back on June 15 at Mandalay Bay, failing to win as a 2.5-point favorite as the Under (174.5) connected.
In that Liberty win, Jonquel Jones was unconscious offensively, connecting for 34 points on 12-of-16 shooting, including 4-of-5 from downtown. B-Stew went for 14 points with 12 rebounds, and Ionescu also had a double-double, finishing with 15 points and 12 assists.
For the Aces, A’ja Wilson had 21 points and nine boards, while Kelsey Plum was good for 22 points. However, Kiah Stokes was held scoreless, and the team shot just 32.0% (11-of-34) from behind the 3-point arc. Vegas was outrebounded by a 37-to-31 margin on its home floor, too.
Let’s keep it simple, yet go for the gusto here. The Liberty have the best record in the W, yet they’re an underdog. Can you say value? Play New York straight up at plus-money. Meanwhile, Stewart is a strong play to exceed her point threshold, while also going for at least two triples. Toss in Jones for two or more 3-pointers, too.

Chicago Sky at Los Angeles Sparks
- Leg 1: Chicago Sky -2 (-110)
- Leg 2: Under 160.5 Total Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Rickea Jackson To Score 10+ Points (-320)
- Leg 4: Angel Reese To Record 10+ Rebounds (-590)
For the other West Coast game, Bayou Barbie and the Sky (10-15) take on the disappointing Sparks (6-19). The Sparks were annihilated by the visiting Liberty on Thursday, and they’re now just 4-9 on their home court. Meanwhile, the Sky are a respectable 6-6 on the road this season, as they’ve rallied around each other away from home.
These teams met at Wintrust Arena in Chitown back on May 30, with the Sky coming away with an 83-73 win and cover as a 4.5-point favorite as the Under (159.5) cashed. That’s been the way of it lately, as the Sky has won and covered four in a row in the series, while also going 6-1 SU/ATS in the past seven since June 23, 2022. In addition, the Under is 6-1 in the past seven meetings, and 8-2 in the previous 10 in the series. It’s no surprise we’re playing Sky laying the little bit of points, and Under, as a result.
For the player props, it’s pretty simple. We won with rookie Rickea Jackson going for 10 or more points against the Liberty in a loss. In fact, she was good for 13 points, and she has double-digits in seven of the past eight outings. That’s why she is a safe play on this prop. She scored 10 points in Chicago on May 30 in the first meeting, too.
And when the Sky are involved, it’s always a good idea to play rookie Angel Reese and Over 10 boards. She did have just six rebounds in 25 minutes in the first meeting while fouling out. However, she was also trying to battle Cameron Brink down low. She won’t need to worry about that, as Brink has long been done for the season due to a torn ACL.
