Wednesday’s Best WNBA Same Game Parlay Bets

The Aces (13-7) and the Storm (14-7) meet for the third time this season and the second time in the regular season. Las Vegas has regained its form after some struggles in June, rattling off seven wins in the past eight outings. They started the resurgence on June 19 with a 94-83 win over the Storm, covering a 6.5-point number at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay.
In that regular season matchup, the Aces erupted for 55.6% (35-of-63) from the field, hitting 40.0% (8-of-20) from behind the 3-point line. Seattle actually had a plus-3 rebounding margin, while Las Vegas was plus-1 in the turnover margin. The difference was shooting, as the Storm managed a 44.3% (31-of-70) mark from the field and just 25.0% (4-of-16) from behind the arc. Seattle had no answers, like most do not, against superstar A’ja Wilson. She had her way with the Storm, amassing 27 points with nine rebounds, four steals, three assists, and two blocked shots, while Jackie Young stepped up with 32 points on 11-of-19 shooting.
Chelsea Gray returned from injury, too, and while she had just one point in 16 minutes off the bench in that win, it meant the Aces were whole again. They’ve looked good with a full squad lately, winning seven of the past eight games, with a 98-93 OT loss in Los Angeles on Friday as the only setback. The last loss in regulation for the Aces came on June 15 against the New York Liberty at Mandalay Bay.
The Aces continue to roll up big offensive totals, ranking No. 1 in the W in points (89.4), field-goal percentage (45.5%), and free-throw percentage (83.8%). They’re also a very efficient 35.4% from behind the 3-point line, ranking 3rd in the league.
Defensively, Las Vegas has struggled, especially against the three. The Aces have coughed up 83.7 PPG, while teams are hitting 37.4% against them from downtown. Las Vegas is dead-last in the WNBA against the 3-pointer, which makes Over bettors very pleased.
Las Vegas is laying some points, and it is a good bet to cover again. The Aces are 6-2 ATS in the past eight games, and pairing the Aces with the Over is a good call. Vegas has gone high in three in a row while averaging 98.3 PPG in the three-game span. The Aces have racked up 88 or more points in six in a row while posting 85 or more points in 11 of the past 12 outings.
For the Storm, the offense has been rolling, posting 84 or more points in each of the past five contests. Seattle is 5-1 ATS in the past six games, too, getting a wake-up call in that most recent loss in Vegas on June 19. Since then, they have caught fire and matriculated up the standings in the Western Conference.
We should get plenty of offense from both sides, but the best bet in terms of player props is rolling with Jackie Young. She dropped 32 on the Storm in the most recent meeting. She is plus-money to eclipse 20 points, and that’s the avenue we’ll take. She has 18 or more points in three in a row and five of the past six games, and it won’t take much in a wide-open game for Young to get up to 20 points.
The lowly Wings (5-17) travel to the Valley of the Sun to try and cool off the Mercury (11-10). Dallas is coming off an ugly 104-85 loss in Las Vegas as a 15.5-point underdog, and the Wings are 1-4 SU and 0-5 ATS in the past five outings. That includes a 104-96 loss in the Metroplex against the Mercury as a 5.5-point underdog on June 3 as the Over (172.5) cashed.
In that Phoenix win, the Mercury saw all five starters go for 11 or more points, including Kahleah Copper, who had 34 points on a red-hot 14-of-20 shooting. Natasha Cloud had 11 points with 10 assists for the teams’ only double-double, while Brittney Griner was good for 24 points, eight boards, three steals, and two blocked shots on an efficient 10-of-14 from the field.
Dallas didn’t shoot all that poorly against Phoenix, hitting 49.3% (33-of-67) from the floor, but it was just 29.4% (5-of-17) from behind the 3-point line. Dallas also outrebounded Phoenix 34-to-24, but the difference was 3-point shooting. The Mercury had it, the Wings did not.
Phoenix has averaged 94.0 PPG in the past two games while covering each outing. The Mercury are a solid 8-3 ATS in the past 11 games, too, and that also includes a 97-90 win in double-overtime in Dallas on June 9, again as the Over (163) easily connected.
While the Mercury had hit low on the total in five of the past six, that lone exception was the most recent win over the Wings. In fact, the Over is just 5-13 in 18 games against all other teams, and 3-0 in two regular-season matchups and a Commissioner’s Cup game against Dallas. Go high, and feel confident in doing so. In addition, backing the Mercury at home is the way, as Phoenix has covered the past two meetings, both outright wins.
As far as the player props are concerned, Teaira McCowan is a strong Under play. He is averaging just 8.8 points per game (PPG) in four July outings, and she has scored in double digits just three times in the past 10 games overall. We’ll keep it simple, and roll with another three-leg SGP for the win.
