(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Dallas Wings (-215) at Portland Fire (+176) | O/U 170.5 (-114/-106)
- Leg 1: Wings -5.5 (-112)
- Leg 2: Over 170.5 Points (-114)
- Leg 3: Jessica Shepard to Record a Double-Double (-115)
The Wings (8-4) hit the road to battle the Fire (6-8) at Moda Center in Portland, OR., at 8:30 p.m. ET.
This is the first-ever meeting between Dallas and Portland. For the Wings, guard Odyssey Sims (ankle) is a question mark due to an ankle injury, while guard Carla Leite (quadriceps) is questionable to play for the Fire.
Dallas has won five of the past six games, while also going 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in the span. The over has a 3-2 edge in the past five games, with the over cashing in two straight road games and going 4-2 in six road games this season. The Wings are 4-2 ATS on the road this season.
For Portland, it has dropped four straight and is 0-4 ATS during the losing skid. The over has a 3-2 edge in the past five games for the Fire. Portland has coughed up 84+ points in five of the past six games.
The Fire’s defense has allowed 87 points per game (PPG), ranking 10th in the WNBA, while opponents shoot 45.8% from the field (ninth) and 33.9% from three-point range (10th).
Dallas ranks sixth in the WNBA in both scoring (88 PPG) and scoring defense (83.3 PPG allowed). The Wings are 12th in defensive field-goal rate (46.8%), too.
Paige Bueckers leads the Wings with 19.8 points and 5.8 assists per game, tied for the team high with Jessica Shepard, who is averaging 13.7 points per game. Arike Ogunbowale is second on the team in points per game (13.8). Meanwhile, Shepard leads the way with 11.1 rebounds per game.
For Portland, Leite’s injury is concerning, as she leads the team with 14.3 points per game and ranks second with 5.3 assists per game. Bridget Carleton is the next-leading scorer (13.3), and she has also averaged 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game.
We’ll take the Wings, as they’re the healthier and better team, and we’ll go over based on the very giving ways of the Fire. For player props, Shepard has seven double-doubles over the past nine games and is averaging 15 points and 10.5 rebounds in four June games. Let’s take her to get a double-double on Saturday night.

Los Angeles Sparks (-118) at Phoenix Mercury (-104) | O/U 176.5 (-110/-110)
- Leg 1: Sparks -1.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Over 176.5 Points (-110)
- Leg 3: Kelsey Plum Over 30.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-106)
- Leg 4: Natasha Mack to Record a Double-Double (+270)
The Sparks (6-6) and Mercury (4-10) meet at Mortgage Matchup Arena in Phoenix on Saturday night at 10:00 p.m. ET.
These teams met on May 21st, also in Phoenix, with the Sparks picking up a 97-88 win as 2.5-point underdogs, as the over (178.5) cashed. In the win, the Sparks shot 48% (31-of-64) from the field, while going 47% (15-of-32) from behind the three-point line. The Sparks were an impressive 91% (20-of-22) from the free-throw line, too.
The Mercury shot 42% (29-of-69) from the field, and just 32% (8-of-25) from behind the arc. Phoenix was +2 on rebounds in the loss, while L.A. had six more assists and two more blocks, which offset a -4 turnover margin.
Dearica Hamby paced the visiting Sparks with 27 points, 15 rebounds and three assists. Ten of her boards were on the defensive end. Kelsey Plum had 16 points, including four three-pointers, while Ariel Atkins scored 11 points and recorded three steals.
Alyssa Thomas was good for 23 points in a losing effort, while adding seven boards and seven dimes. She also had two steals, the third-most among Mercury starters. Natasha Mack just missed a double-double, posting 10 points with nine boards and two steals. Kahleah Copper added 22 points with five rebounds and two assists.
Let’s roll with the Sparks to get the job done by at least a bucket, as the Mercury is just 2-5 ATS in the past seven games and 3-7 ATS across the past 10 games dating back to May 19h.
Let’s go high on the total based on the first result. The over is 2-1 in the past three games for L.A., while Phoenix has allowed 86 PPG in the past two games, and 111 points in the team’s most recent home game on June 1st.
For player props, let’s get a little crazy. First off, playing Plum’s combo prop is a strong option. She is a good bet to go higher than 30.5 combined points + rebounds + assists. In addition, we’ll take Mack to post a double-double, helping us nearly go 18X our wager if it comes in.
