Toronto Tempo at Phoenix Mercury

Leg #1: Brittney Sykes 20+ Points (-104)

Brittney Sykes recently tapped into a seriously high level of gameplay, and we feel that surge continues in this contest. This line of 20+ points comes across somewhat light, given the torrid pace Sykes has been scoring as of late. This contest should feature a faster pace, which would most certainly benefit the veteran.

Sykes is averaging 24.3 points in 33 minutes through the opening four contests for Toronto. The guard for the Tempo is not playing efficiently to start the season. Sykes is only shooting 36.7% from the field, along with an abysmal 22% on attempts above the perimeter. Having said that, the volume and success at the free-throw line are what pique our interest the most about this selection.

Sykes has put up 40 shots in the previous two games, which include 15 attempts from beyond the arc. The Tempo guard is 26-of-26 from the line through the previous two contests. Sykes has scored 55 points in the last two games.

Leg #2: Brittney Sykes 28+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (-110)

We continue with a bit of an obvious choice, given our bullishness on the points prop for Brittney Sykes. The veteran guard has now put up 27+ points in back-to-back contests. She is averaging four boards and 4.5 assists on the season, and has finished with double-digit combined rebounds + assists in two out of the first four games.

The guard for the Tempo is averaging 5.3 assists and 4.3 boards in the last three games. Sykes has finished with 28+ combined points + rebounds + assists in three consecutive games. The Syracuse alum scored 38 points on 10-of-21 shooting in 38 minutes last time out against Los Angeles.

Sykes will no doubt be looking to build on that fantastic performance. The Mercury have allowed over 88 points in the first four contests of the 2025 season, and 91 in their last contest, a loss to Chicago. Sykes is pouring on the points as of late. We feel that continues tonight, and she should hit the over on this combo prop.

Leg #3: Kiki Rice 10+ Points (-184)

Kiki Rice did not score a single point in 18 minutes on the floor in the first contest for the Tempo. Since then, the rookie has scored in double digits in three consecutive games. As previously stated, the Mercury have been extremely gracious to opponents in the points department. There will be plenty of opportunities for the UCLA product to score tonight.

Rice is averaging 10.5 points per game through the first four contests for Toronto. The rookie guard is averaging 14 points on a phenomenal 58.4% shooting from the field through the last three games. Rice has knocked down five out of her last 10 three-point attempts, while going 9-of-11 at the free-throw line.

Rice has been completely locked in following the first game against Washington. The Tempo guard played 35 minutes in the previous contest, over 14 minutes more than in any contest to date. The efficiency is there, and the playing time appears to have increased significantly. The -184 odds are very palatable. However, the success rate is difficult to argue with.
