(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
Indiana Fever (-102) at Phoenix Mercury (-118) | O/U 170.5 (-112/-108)
- Leg 1: Mercury -1.5 (-102)
- Leg 2: Over 170.5 Points (-112)
- Leg 3: Kelsey Mitchell 26+ Points + Assists (-128)
The Fever (12-9) and the Mercury (8-14) meet at Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix at 10:00 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime Video. These teams met in a back-to-back in Indianapolis last month, with the teams splitting straight up (SUP) and against the spread (ATS). Phoenix won a wild 111-109 game on June 24th as 7.5-point underdogs, as the over (175.5) cashed.
In the most recent game, Kelsey Mitchell scored 30 points and had six assists and two steals, while hitting 7-of-9 from behind the three-point line in a losing effort for Indiana. Caitlin Clark chipped in with 19 points, hitting three triples, while dishing out eight assists with a steal.
For the Mercury, Kahleah Copper burned up the nets with 28 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while getting to the line for 16 free-throw attempts, hitting 15 of them. Alyssa Thomas supplied 24 points, eight assists and four rebounds with a steal and a block. She was also very efficient, going 12-of-17 from the field.
Phoenix lost 77-66 to the Sky last time out, halting a three-game win streak and an ATS streak. The under has cashed in the past two outings for the Mercury, too.
Indiana lost 106-92 in Los Angeles on Wednesday and now faces a quick turnaround. They are still 3-2 SU/ATS in the past five games, while the over is 6-2 across the past eight outings. Despite the 92 points, Clark was limited to only nine points on 4-of-12 shooting, including 1-of-6 from behind the arc. Mitchell picked up the slack with 29 points, including five triples.
The Fever is just too erratic to trust, and while the Mercury is coming off a poor outing against the Sky, they showed they can beat Indiana, and it should get the job done by at least a bucket on Thursday. We’ll take the over on Mitchell’s combo prop, and we’ll go high on the total for the chance to 5X our initial wager.

Las Vegas Aces (-380) at Portland Fire (+300) | O/U 174.5 (-112/-108)
- Leg 1: Fire +8.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Over 174.5 Points (-112)
- Leg 3: Jackie Young 30+ Points + Rebounds (-121)
The Aces (15-7) invade Moda Center to try and put out the Fire (9-12) on Thursday night, also at 10:00 p.m. ET. Vegas is 9-3 on the road this season, while Portland has kept its head above water at home, going 6-5.
These teams met in Portland on June 11th, with the Aces coming away with a 105-89 win as 11.5-point favorites, as the over (170.5) cashed.
A’ja Wilson had her way with the Fire, going for 32 points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks, while Jackie Young double-doubled with 18 points and 10 assists. NaLyssa Smith followed suit with 12 points and 10 boards. Stephanie Talbot also added 10 boards while scoring eight points, including a couple of treys.
Unfortunately for the Aces, Wilson is listed as questionable due to a right leg injury, which has sidelined her for a couple of games. Dana Evans is listed as doubtful due to a right leg injury, while Janiah Barker will miss the game due to a right leg ailment. Portland’s Karlie Samuelson is questionable due to a left middle finger injury, while Sania Feagin will miss with a left knee injury.
Las Vegas was treated poorly by Indiana last time out, losing at Mandalay Bay by 16, failing to cover as a 3.5-point favorite. That halted a three-game win and cover streak. The under cashed, too, snapping a 3-0 over run.
Portland won 77-72 at Seattle last time out and is 2-0 ATS in the past two games and 5-2 ATS across the past seven outings. As an underdog, Portland is 4-2 ATS in the past six games. The under cashed in Seattle, but the over is 5-1 in the past six outings.
We’re definitely going over on the total, and let’s back the Fire catching the points, assuming Wilson sits again. Even if she plays, there will likely be some restrictions. As such, let’s back Young to hit her player combo and be more of a focal point of the offense.
