WNBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Valkyries vs. Dream (Wednesday)
It looks like we could have a heck of a series on our hands for the WNBA Finals-as it should be, right? After splitting the games in San Francisco, the series moves to Atlanta for Game 3, and I know I'm looking forward to placing a couple of WNBA same-game parlays.
For this post, I'll create one if you want to get behind Atlanta and one for Golden State supporters. Here are my picks:

Best WNBA Finals Game 3 Same Game Parlays
(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)
SGP No. 1: Atlanta Dream
- Leg 1: Atlanta -3.5 (-110)
- Leg 2: Angel Reese Over 14.5 Points (-125)
- Leg 3: Jordin Canada Over 6.5 Assists (-153)
To win Game 3, the Dream should repeat their Game 2 strategy: stay close in the first half, adjust, and tighten their second-half defense. They held the Valkyries to nine third-quarter points in both games. Frequent trips to the foul line helped Atlanta build a double-digit lead. Despite their strong defense, the Valkyries lack the offense to overcome a large deficit against a quality, well-playing opponent.
Don't expect another double-digit win; Atlanta is more likely to win by 5-9 points (if they win).
Reese scored 30 points in Game 2 and has cleared this total in five of her last six games, scoring 14 in the one she didn’t (Game 1). She has gone over this total in three of five games against the Valkyries this season.
I expect Golden State to game plan a little more for her, but this is a small total.
She had seven in Game 1 and 10 in Game 2. Canada averaged 7.3 assists per game in the regular season and has averaged 8.7 per game in the postseason. The price isn't great, but the total is ridiculously low.
Parlay Odds: +330 - A $100 wager will result in a $430 payday, your stake plus $330 in winnings.
SGP No. 2: Golden State Valkyries
- Leg 1: Golden State Moneyline (+136)
- Leg 2: Gabby Williams Over 18.5 Points (-116)
- Leg 3: Veronica Burton Under 4.5 Assists (-132)
Golden State's problem has been two-fold so far in this series: they are shooting poorly from the perimeter and fouling way too much. Defensively, they are playing as good as ever, holding Atlanta to 33% from the floor and 16% from 3-point range in Game 1 and 34/28% in Game 2. The Valkyries have been shooting about the same, but the Dream scored 30 from the line in Game 2, compared with 16 for the Valkyries.
If they clean up their defense and stop fouling so much, they'll win.
If the Valkyries want a shot at winning, Williams cannot go 3-for-15 from the floor again as she did in Game 2. She averaged 14.4 ppg in the regular season but 22 ppg in the playoffs, and she’s gone over that total in six of eight games.
She averaged 5.7 assists per game in the regular season, but in the playoffs, that number has dropped to 3.6. Against Dallas, she recorded 5, 5, and 6. Since then, she has posted 1, 3, 4, 3, and 2. I wouldn't count on her improving on the road.
Parlay Odds: +600 - A $100 wager will result in a $700 payday, your stake plus $600 in winnings.
