Golden State Valkyries (+1120) at New York Liberty (-3000) | O/U 162.5 (-112/-108) WNBA Same Game Parlays

    • Leg 1: Valkyries +18 (-110)
    • Leg 2: Over 162.5 Points (-115)
    • Leg 3: Breanna Stewart – 15+ Points (-290)
    • Leg 4: Jonquel Jones to Record Double-Double (+125)

The Valkyries (2-2) and the Liberty (4-0) meet at 7 p.m. ET at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. This will be the second-ever matchup between these teams, as they faced each other in San Francisco on Tuesday night in the front end of a wild coast-to-coast home-and-home series.

New York punished Golden State 95-67 in the front end of the set, hitting 50.0 percent (37-of-74) from the field, while knocking down 40.0 percent (14-of-35) from behind the arc. If there was a criticism of the defending champs, it was that the Liberty was just 53.8 percent (7-of-13) from the free-throw line, with both Jonquel Jones and Breanna Stewart each going 3-of-6 from the charity stripe. Of course, B-Stew ended up with 24 points, and she was 10-of-14 from the field, so there’s that. And, Jones had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the team’s only double-double.

In addition to the 24 points for Stewart, she was able to record three steals and three assists, while Natasha Cloud had 10 dimes. Cloud struggled from the field, hitting just 2-of-9, including 1-of-6 from distance, ending up with five points, though. Sabrina Ionescu had an off night, too, finishing 3-of-8 from the floor, going for only eight points.

Marina Johannes stepped up off the bench to knock down 6-of-11 from the field, all from behind the arc, going for 18 points with four steals in just 22 minutes.

For the Valkyries, Monique Billings and Cecilia Zandalasini each missed the game due to right foot injuries, while Tiffany Hayes was sidelined with a nasal ailment. It got worse, as starters Veronica Burton, Janelle Salaun and Kayla Thornton were each 30.0 percent or worse from the field, missing at least seven shots apiece. Thornton still did end up with 13 points, six rebounds and four steals, while Burton managed six assists, four rebounds and three assists, and all three players had two or more 3-pointers.

Temi Fagbenle was good for 11 points in 31 minutes, while hitting 5-of-5 from the field, knocking down here only 3-pointer attempt. Oddly enough, she misfired on her only free-throw attempt, though.

It sounds crazy, especially after the absolute embarrassment on their home floor, but taking the Valkyries with the 18 points is a good bet. It’s hard to thrash a team by 20+ points in consecutive games, especially in the span of just a couple of days.

Expect the Liberty to produce a decent amount of points again, but look for the Valkyries to be much better. Golden State was blown out by Los Angeles in the opener, but won outright against the Sparks in the rematch. The Valkyries aren’t going to win this one, but they’ll learn from the loss and build, keeping it closer, while going Over on the total.

For the player props, let’s back Stewart to get to at least 15 points, and we’ll take Jones to get another double-double. At plus-money, the latter is a solid value as a standalone bet, too.
