The Wings (1-4) and Sky (0-4) battle in Chicago in the front end of a home-and-home set, and Angel Reese and the home team are looking for their first bit of success this season.
Dallas picked up a 109-87 victory against the winless Connecticut Sun on Tuesday night at Mohegan Sun Arena, as rookie Paige Bueckers recorded her first pro win in the state in which she starred in college. A team dropping a hondo isn’t exactly what the Sky wants to see.
Chicago has allowed 91 or more points in all four losses this season, although the Sky did finally cover as 7.5-point underdogs in Phoenix Tuesday to snap an 0-3 against the spread (ATS) start. It’s no surprise, but the Over is 3-0 in the past three contests for the Sky.
We’ll back the Wings to get their second straight victory, and based on Chicago’s lack of defense, and the fact Dallas just dropped 109 points last time out, hit the Over hard.
For player props, anytime Angel Reese is on the floor, she is a good bet to get to double-digit rebounds. A lot of haters like to talk about her “mebounds”, where she racks up boards on her own missed shots, but bettors don’t care how they get to the Over.
Reese’s fellow second-year teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, is coming off her finest game in Phoenix. She was 8-of-14 from the field, going for 16 points with nine rebounds, four assists and a blocked shot. We’ll simply be looking for her to get to double digits.
For Dallas, we’ll certainly be playing scoring props against the Sky’s leaky defense, too. DiJonai Carrington is a good bet to get to at least 10 points, and if you want to bump up your multi-leg parlay slightly, Arike Ogunbowale to get to 10 points adds a little bit, too.
Let’s get a little crazy, too, tacking on at least one Ariel Atkins 3-pointer. She has two or more triples in three of her first four games this season. That will bump up your SGP to return at least 11 times. If you were to take out Atkins and Ogunbowale, you can still nearly grab more than eight times your initial bet at +797.
