Friday’s Best Women’s College Basketball Bets: Ole Miss vs. Texas

Ole Miss vs. Texas
Texas (29-2, SEC: 15-1) fans knew they had a good team, but when they lost to No. 2-ranked South Carolina in January by 17, they may have had doubts. Maybe they’re good, but not great. But then they won 13 consecutive games, including six over ranked teams, and became the No. 1 team in the country.
Winning the SEC will be nice, but their eyes are on the real prize - a National Championship.
But as good as Texas may be (and the Longhorns are a great team), if they look past Ole Miss (20-9, SEC: 10-6), the Rebels could pull off the upset. They nearly did it when they hosted Texas earlier in the season. The Longhorns were 9.5-point road favorites, but it was Ole Miss ahead by seven at the end of the first quarter.
Texas trailed by eight midway through the fourth quarter and didn't take the lead for good until the final seconds of the game.
Texas is a great team, but Ole Miss is pretty good in their own right. I expect Texas to win, but like the first meeting, this game will be a close one. Ole Miss will be competitive; the Longhorns will not win by 10+ points.
