USA (-125) vs. Venezuela (+105)
The undefeated Venezuelans (4-0) will turn to MartÃn Pérez in tonightâs elimination game. The left-hander has one start under his belt in the tournament, a 3.1-inning outing against the Dominican Republic in their opening game. Pérez surrendered just one earned run in the 5-1 victory and allowed four hits and two walks while striking out four batters.
The Americans (3-1) counter with Lance Lynn, whose one start came in a 12-1 blowout over Canada on Monday night. Lynn, a right-hander for the Chicago White Sox, tossed 5.0 innings, allowing one earned run on two walks while striking out six hitters. His 5.0-inning effort was enough to earn him the win.
Iâm locking in the USA moneyline for tonightâs quarterfinal matchup in Miami. The Red, White, and Blue have seen Pérez well in their MLB careers. Check out how these top performers have done: Mookie Betts: 6-14 (.429) 1 HR, 2 2B; J.T. Realmuto: 5-15 (.333); Tim Anderson: 2-6 (.333); Mike Trout: 10-36 (.278) 1HR, 1 3B, 3 2B.
This USA team still boasts the most lethal lineup in the WBC, and with their tournament lives on the line, I expect them to be at their best against Venezuela. Letâs back the Stars and Stripes as short favorites tonight.
Bet: USA Moneyline (-125)
