Toronto Blue Jays (+168) at Los Angeles Dodgers (-207) | O/U 8.5 (-105/-115)
I think we can agree that Game 3 will go down as one of the more memorable games in World Series history. These teams traded big blasts early in the game. However, neither team could gain an edge, and the game went to extra innings. There were tense moments throughout the extra innings, with each team having chances to score, but neither could get that big hit. That was until the 18th inning, when Freddie Freeman, who hit a walk-off grand slam in last year's World Series, brought the heroics with another to help the Dodgers get a 2-1 series advantage.
Los Angeles will send up Shohei Ohtani to help get them to a potential elimination game. This will be Ohtani's first start since his incredible performance against the Brewers, when he went six scoreless innings, struck out 10, and hit three home runs to win the NLCS MVP. This might be the toughest opponent as Ohtani has struggled against this Toronto lineup with a .319 wOBA in 75 plate appearances. He does have some success in terms of a 28% whiff rate and a 26.7% strikeout rate, which, if he can find success there, could keep the Jays' bats quiet.
Shane Bieber will go for the Toronto in what could be a must-win game. He has had a rough postseason, and although he's allowed just two earned runs in each of his starts, in one he went 2.2 innings and in another 3.2. This could be a better outing as he's been more successful on the road this season, with opponents batting just .169.
It’s tough to predict how these types of games will go. Essentially, these teams played a doubleheader and now have to turn around and play a highly important game. These players could be fatigued, especially early on, which could lead to a lower-scoring game.
